I'm interested in seeing that review of yours Rocky. I've got mixed opinions about it. Most of it seemed like what I've heard BTDT's call "Green Beret porn". Aka: Fantasy hoopla with a loose historical background. It also seems that Keith Idema (convicted felon with no attachment to the US Army or SF) took advantage of an aging Robin Moore. 

The FBI agent who got Keith Idema sent to prison was later exposed as a russian spy. All Idema ever did was refuse to shut up about how large the danger was of Russian nuclear materials falling into terrorist hands.

In the book Idema is only in one section and then refered to later as "Jack" he was not affiliated with the Green Berets but was working for the Defence Intelligence Agency DI

I just got done reading "The Hunt for Bin Laden" which was all about the Task Force Dagger Green Berets in Afganistan. The Green Berets all used M4's but I would have to agree that the non Special Ops were issued M-16s.

From what the book said the Green Berets did wear turbens. They wore turbens whos color scheme indicated supporet for the slain Mujahadeen Commander Ahmad Shan Massoud. Basically they wore their uniforms with local afgan/pashtun garb to keep from sticking out.

I am really looking forward to this mod.

Also most of the Green Berets in Afganistan who were part of Task Force Dagger were in their early to mid thirties and almost all wore beards.
