I just got done reading "The Hunt for Bin Laden" which was all about the Task Force Dagger Green Berets in Afganistan. The Green Berets all used M4's but I would have to agree that the non Special Ops were issued M-16s. From what the book said the Green Berets did wear turbens. They wore turbens whos color scheme indicated supporet for the slain Mujahadeen Commander Ahmad Shan Massoud.
