  1. Now THAT's what I'm talking about!!!!! I've been on about a JS port for years... Looking forward to Blood Oil!
  2. Thanks guys Links? Sure! Our website: http://www.silentcall.se Our MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/silentcallswe Yeah, we don't really sound like the Leek guys.
  3. Shameless self-advertisement, I am well aware... ...But I have to share the excitement! We've worked so hard that I haven't been on the forums OR played GR in so long, writing, practicing, recording, and working like dogs to get it out on the market, and it's finally happened!! After so many nailbiters and all nighters it's finally here... It's called "Creations From A Chosen Path", the band is Silent Call. And it certainly has been a very interesting trip. It's got 13 tracks of melodic metal with progressive leanings, and guest appearances by people like Göran Edman who used to sing with Malmsteen and Daniel Flores who plays in Mind's Eye. Been getting some really good reviews as well, to the point of me thinking "Are they listening to our album?" - the other day I got a German mag in my mailbox with my picture in it and an interview with me, in German! Honestly, none of us can believe it, knowing all the stuff that can and did go wrong while making it!!! It's been a blast, now we're all keeping our fingers crossed that enough of it will be sold for us to keep our heads above the water, and get to do a second one... Oh yeah, and for anyone who after all these years actually wonders what I look like
  4. I know over here we've been hearing the story of Major general Tony Stigsson to death... The guy picks up prostitutes over the Internet, brings them home, where he's illegally brought about 300 classified documents, and even goes so far as to imply that he could now be blackmailed... ...So when they arrest him they find his uniform breast pockets full of pornography. Well, there You are. Incompetence finds You, even above the Arctic circle.
  5. yeah, I ended up going for those... The Mk43 model is A+!!!
  6. I agree about GRAW:2 FOV... It feels like looking through a straw...
  7. I only looked at the mission files themselves, and looked at the ones relevant to the campaign itself, which is to say the one actually set by RSE in Georgia/Latvia/Lithuania/Russia, DP02 just happened to be one of them, there was no thought behind it really. Of course if we change dates and times it doesn't matter at all.
  8. Here's the calendar as far as I see it in the mission files: MP06: March 20, 2008, Republic of Georgia. 12:15 M01: April 16th, 2008, South Ossetia, 05:45 MP04: April 16th, 2008, South Ossetia, 18:00 M02: April 24th, 2008, South Ossetia, 02:15 DP02: April 24th, 2008, South Ossetia, 10:00 M03: May 2nd, 2008, South Ossetia, 10:00 MP03: May 2nd, 2008, South Ossetia, 15:00 M04: May 7th, 2008, Georgia, 15:00 M05: May 15th, Tbilisi, 09:00 M06: June 6th, Izborsk, 02:00 M07: June 10th, 2008, Lubana, 06:00 MP01: June 10th, 2008, Lubana, 10:00 MP02: June 24th, 2008, Venta, 02:15 M08: June 24th, 2008, Venta, 16:00 M09: July 3rd, 2008, Nereta, 09:00 M10: September 1st, 2008, Vilnius, 18:00 M11: September 16th, 2008, Ljady, 03:00 M12: September 22nd, 2008, Murmansk, 02:00 MP05: September 22nd, 2008, Severodvinsk, 09:00 M13: October 3rd, 2008, Archangel'sk, 04:00 M14: October 23rd, 2008, Toropec, 13:00 M15: November 10, 2008, Moscow, 11:00 So it seems the missions are strung together so that the MP mission that corresponds to the map is in all cases but two immediately connected to the map mission itself. The exceptions are MP05, where the location is different, and MP06, where location and date are different. Any ideas on the mission types for the MP/DP missions listed above, given their time and date?
  9. Ì just noticed one thing - the MP maps for the original GR campaign in Russia have dates and times which set them comfortably in the framework of the campaign itself. So - here's my idea. Is anyone sufficiently interested/good at mission scripting (which I am not), to create a campaign-xml file containing all the missions, and create new missions using MP maps? Starting with MP06 Castle, and moving calendarwise. I think it would be a truly awesome idea, since the maps are there and finished, the dates are set so we know the general campaign situation, and we have all the players, kit files, sounds and everything, all we actually need is to script the missions and string together a briefing document and we're there. Is this a good idea?
  10. Looking for a nice model and texture of "the pig" in its latest incarnations. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
  11. I'd love, as stated above, to have a SCAR armoury - someone must have done it. Can anyone point me to the right mod/mods? Mk 16 and Mk 17, silenced/not silenced, optics, EGLM, barrel lengths would be appreciated. Is there a SCAR collection somewhere, and if not, where can I fish around for SCARs?
  12. Hi! Saw that a bunch of gamers got together and ported a PS2 Half Life game over to PC - apparently it works. Since GR1 is so moddable, has anyone considered porting the maps from GR2/Summit Strike/Jungle Storm over to PC? I mean, one could string together a campaign without really porting the entire game, the missions should be easy enough to script together in GR1 as-is... Has this been attempted or am I totally insane?
  13. Could anyone be so kind as to reproduce the briefings for the Columbia campaign for me? I'm putting together a sort of "history" of the ghosts, and it would surely help to know what the world situation was like during the campaign none of us PC players has ever seen! I would appreciate the help...
  14. Good Find! I'll be buying this tomorrow...
  15. I love Red Vs Blue... I own a Ford Puma which I call the Warthog due to that series! "Let's take the warthog!" "..... You mean the Puma?" "Yeah. Keep making jokes. That'll win the war."
