  1. Thanks, TRC...

Yes, I have both GR/DS. I've never had this problem with either. The only mod I had added, up until a couple of weeks ago, was Gangland, which worked just fine.

I did not disable Norton Anti-virus. I'll try that as well.

No, I only activate the mod (and whatever else is required, GR or DS), that I'm going to play.

I've read the "read-me" files, and feel like I've followed what instructions there are, completely. I run mine in 1024 x 768 16 bit. Tried it with 800 x 600, but still crashed.

It's got me scratching my head, that's for sure. :(

    thanks for the reply

  2. I'm having problems with mods crashing back to the desktop. At first, I thought it might be a memory issue since I was saving and reloading frequently. I noticed that the crash would sometimes occur when I would detonate a grenade or some other major screen activity.

Other times, the crash would occur when I tried to either save or re-load a mission. Once the mod has crashed, I cannot go back to that same re-load point without it automatically crashing the instant I select the "saved mission" point. I have to start the mission from the beginning. Then, it usually crashes at about the same place as before.

I reduced graphics to "low", turned off "dead bodies", "mission recording", bullet-holes, etc. in an attempt to conserve resources. But I'm not sure this is the problem! My system is as follows:

    Win XP Home

    Athlon 1.4 Gig DDR

    512 Meg DDR Ram

GeForce 4 ti 4600 Video card w/40.72 driver

So to me, the system should be powerful enough to run any GR Mod!

I never had this issue before when playing standard GR or DS.

I have the latest patch, 1.4

I have activated the Mods, then shut down GR and restarted. Nothing seems to work. Two mods that come to mind are Red Dawn and FL-AVA Mod.

I could really use some suggestions here.

    Thanks!
