Go with the optical mouse mate. No wear and tear so nothing wears out and no ball means not having to keep cleaning the thing.
I can't recommend going wireless on the mouse tho. I bought a top of the range Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse setup. The keyboard is great but the mouse had more lag, in games, than a very laggy thing. Went back to my old Logitech PS/2 optical.

Why would the recticles close faster dependent on the ammo belts? Everything is the same except the number of rounds you have available. You could argue that the 200 is heavier so its reticles would close faster

Strangely enough the politicians in Britain said that the L85 would be a good gun if the boys would use more oil on it when using it in dusty or desert climes! Odd when most people realise that mixing oil and dust gives you a syrupy mess!
