    HALO Demo

Hey guys, The HALO PC demo is out on Fileplanet. Try this link HALO DEMO
  2. The scene in the Indiana Jones movie (Raiders Of The Lost Ark) that Ravenmouth is referring too was originally (in the script) to be a long fightscene between Harrison Ford and the guy wielding the sword. However Harrison Ford and the rest of the crew, except for Steven Spielberg, were having extreme stomach trouble at the time, so Harrison in order to prevent further stomach trouble just shot him. It's gathered fame as one of the best scenes of improvisation of all time. Here's some more info from IMDB 'The scene in Cairo in which Indy just shoots a sword-wielding man was intended to b
  3. Remember the old Guinness TV ads, "Good things come, to those who wait." BUT I CAN'T
  4. Probably not, but you could always mix different rounds depending on the op.
  5. I'd like to offer a quote from Edmund Morris, 'History admires the wise, but it elevates the brave.'
  6. I remember hearing that Mossad used to have a list of targets, which would be discussed with the Israeli Prime Minister and the head of MOSSAD. This list would sometimes include some of the top-level Nazis when there used to be some hiding in Israel. Anyway, when the Prime Minister and his select group decided which targets were to be eliminated, then they would pass the job onto assasination teams which would carry out the hits. I'm not sure if this is true though, but hell, do we ever REALLY know what's going on.
  7. I'm extremely sorry Marcinko for any misunderstanding about my post, but I was simply offering a helpful hint after reading your previous reply. I am sorry, if you misunderstood this and I apolgise most sincerely for any trouble I have caused. Furthermore in response to my comparison with SWAT teams and special forces units is that SWAT teams, since the increase of crimes involving drugs and firearms in the United States, the operational tempo of tactical teams in the U.S and U.K has increased, and as such a SWAT unit can be involved in more live operations than a special forces unit in CQC
  8. I don't know if any of you remember when Hidden & Dangerous was release way back in gaming history. Although having a reputation as the game with the biggest list of bugs, the atmosphere and tension that the game had has never been beaten. After browsing Fileplanet I found that due to the near release of the sequel to H&D, that the deluxe version of H&D is now being released for free on Fileplanet, and I URGE everyone to download and play this game which comes complete with all updates and expansions. Download HERE
  9. Yep, it sounds like a KAC, but if it is lighter than the M203 and the Masterkey, it'll be easier to use during prolonged operations.
  10. A SWAT team, Marcinko, is basically a special forces unit, that has to operate under restricted guidelines in tactical operations. Some SWAT units from LAPD and Miami are trained in all types of warfare including sea-borne operations and because they train in CQC and Hostage Rescue 24/7, unlike the SAS who rotate personnel, the unit integrity of a SWAT unit is far greater than a normal special forces unit.
  11. If you're both in the USA and UK and want to buy a new gaming rig, checkout Voodoo PC, if you want the best.
  12. That'll be good for Urban Warfare, if loaded with T.K.O rounds for breaching.
  13. On a off-hand note, I remember reading a story in a magazine one day, can't remember what it was, about how these two guys wanted to convert their car into the world's finest portable stereo rig. So they bought the most powerful amps, the biggest speakers and subwoofers that they could buy and shoved it in this medium-sized car. Now as driving down the road one day with the speakers pumpin and the bass crashing, one of the guys decided to open one of the windows that they had all closed. BIG MISTAKE The pressure that had been built up in the car due to the sound system caused all th
  14. In answer to the Beowulf - Grendel allegory, the new weapon that is being developed by Alexander Arms is the 26 Grendel, which is a AR-15/M16 frame firing a 6.5mm round. This in effect gives the weapon a 1000yd capability.
  15. The first thing I'll do would to buy a new bike. Probably a Suzuki GSX-R1000 K3 model in Blue and White.

  17. 3DChipset.com has the 51.75 BETA drivers from NVIIDA on their website. Bear in mind though that these are not in any finished format and these are the drivers that Valve tested with HL2. Here's the link to the mirror site (3D Chipset's server is currently down.) http://www.m3dzone.com/modules.php?name=Ne...rticle&sid=2649
  18. R.I.PFor the past two and a half years ever since I bought my Geforce 4 Ti4600 years (£275 back then), I've tried every driver under the sun from the very 2x.xx to 4x.xx and none of them have worked the way I expected them to and with the performance that I could see. However five days ago at Guru3D.com, I read a thread about some new drivers that were customised by a guy named StarStorm. After trying the old Omega Drivers with no such luck I decided to try these. JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!. After installing these drivers the level of image quality turned absoulutely amazing, and the fram
  19. In a partial answer to this question, the company Alexander Arms, LLC are developing a weapon called the 26 Grendel, which uses a 6.5mm round. The weapon was recently demonstrated at the Shoot-Out at Blackwater. Check out this link for a video of the Grendel Blackwater Videos
  20. This is a good choice in my opinion. The G36 is a very, very good rifle and is also a lot better than the M16 or M4 and this is a good step for the British Army, if it does come to fruition in my own personal opinion. The main advantage over the M16 and possibly the M4A1 or A2 if it comes out, is the fact that the G36 very rarely, (if ever) has a jam, although this fact may come to be regarded as BS by any fans of the M16 - M4 family, Heckler and Koch has stated that there is one G36 that has fired 25,000 rounds without any type of cleaning and no failures. I would like to see a M16 do that
  21. In addition to the M16, the HK MP5/10 used by the FBI Hostage Rescue Team is also designed to leave the bolt open after the last round is fired.
  22. I remember chucking a 2 litre bottle of Pepsi in the freezer which I forgot about for a couple of hours. Most of it was frozen at the bottom but it was a bit slushy at the top, so I tried to open it outside the back lawn. However after just one turn of the cap the pressure that had been built up shot the cap at least 15 feet up into the air.
