  1. my first PC- atari 800xl. man that was the ######. true floppy drive and the keyboard had a cartridge slot. i owned mrs. pacman! it was two years later that i stepped up to the commodore 64! that game "gunship" rocked!

For me it was the old Amiga 500. I had it for about five years and was mostly used as a family PC. We also bought one of the first few HDDs for it. My favourite game for it was Midwinter though, I did also like Speedball.

  2. I've always been a fan of The Delta Force with good old Chuck Norris who, they say is so fast, he can run around the world and punch himself in the back of the head and also drives a ice cream truck covered in human skulls.

  3. I've been steadily upgrading my rig for the past few years, but it's only been recently that I've managed to get some high-quality parts in for GRAW so here we go.

    Antec P180 Performance Case

    Thermaltake Silent Purepower 680w PSU

Custom Water-Cooling System (upgraded for higher coolant flow/SLI for when I can get two blocks for the 7900GTX)

    AMD Athlon 64X2 4800+ CPU

    ASUS A8N32-SLi Deluxe Motherboard

4Gb OCZ GX PC3200 RAM (seems extravagant I know, but I also use my rig for high res photos from my Nikon D70.)

    1x WD Raptor 36.7Gb HDD (OS/Utils)

    1x WD Raptor X 150GB HDD (Games)

    1x WD 400GB Caviar HDD (For Photos & MP3's)

    2x Plextor PX-760A DVD Recorders

2x XFX Extreme 7900GTX Graphics Cards

    Creative SoundBlaster Fatality Sound Card

I've also got a Samsung SyncMaster 193P+ as a monitor with a mouse and keyboard liberated from my old pc's.

  4. Fortune Favours The Brave they say. I mean sure she may be a 20 stone redneck from Down South, but she also may be a tall blue-eyed, long-legged, beautiful blonde-haired Swedish gal who's looking for someone who will listen. Risk is part of the game and if you don't take it you'll probably regret it.

  5. First time I hit a guy running past my sights while I was laying down cover. I was a medic then so I had to patch up my own mess.

Don't feel so bad man, if he had any sense, he would have ran behind you.

  6. Maybe it was the "Warchowski Brothers" edition of the HK UPM45 - with a 400 round magazine and +P+ ammo

They said during the documentary on the Matrix Reloaded DVD that the freeway chase was set in the Matrix world.

I thought it was hilarious that a SMG with a 25 round mag pumped out dozens of rounds and sounded like an M60.

That's sound design for you. It doesn't have to correspond with reality.

  7. One of the problems about Karate and most martial arts is that they are sports, and the techniques you are taught are a waste of time in a real fight. Karate is based on rules and regulations, and on you fighting generally against only one person at the same time using the same techniques and fighting fairly, which will get you killed.

There are some martial arts like Jeet Kune Do, Hapkido, Filipino Kali and PFS that are more relevent to defending yourself against real attacks, than Karate.

If you wish to participate in a sport, than by all means carry on studying Karate, but if you do wish to defend yourself, I suggest you seek other guidance .

  8. Earlier today in the UK (Wednesday) I picked up Tuesday's edition of the Daily

Mail that I had brought home because I did not have a chance to read it the day before, and I found an article on page 8, about two soldiers, Major James Stenner, and Sargeant Norman Patterson, who had crashed their vehicle into a roadblock in Baghdad on New Year's Day

The two soldiers were later confirmed by the MOD as members of 22 SAS, as their original units, the Welsh Guards and the Cheshire Regiment were not in in Iraq, which makes this the first casualties for the SAS.

This goes to so, that without even being in battle, there can still be casualties.

  9. One point I would like to ask is what specific type of ammunition you would use, because don't forget that companies such as Winchester and Federal make different types of 9mm rounds for different uses.
