I updated my directx but it worked fine with 9.0b. It just didn't work all of a sudden. How do i check my BIOS?

The thing is, is that I've had this game for 2 years and it worked fine, now its messing up.

Okay, yesterday, I was playing this game and everything went fine. Today I turn on my computer and play it and all of a sudden right when I start gr an error report pops up.
