Gave me Delta Skins

*GASP*, I would not be worthy of the sig if I had not read the book. Anyhoo, it doesn't abbreviate it in there.Should check out some of the cool books on the topic, including that featured in your sig, 'Black Hawk Down'. ^ -
^
Will note that 2nd Ranger has never seen it abbreviated in such a way.

Will kindly explain what "SFOD-D" is..

Has found a subtle way of calling me a spammer

Pffft. Popular opinion, I'm afraid, does nothing to sway my opinion.
Anyhoo, it doesn't say in there how they made the sounds. And maybe they DID record them. Still, they're nothing compared to an older game like SWAT3. Well, I think so.
-
Thanks... Just transferred from the mohaa.com 'RagTags' GR division...
Anyhoo, I'm not complaining about the sounds, because I changed them all anyway.

Sync.... Watch out for Charlie in the trees.... Shh... I hear something...

first i havent found a way to start them in the air. they need to lift off.
First you create an effect, and set it in the air at whatever height your chopper is supposed to be flying at. Name it "heli start" or something. At the startup block, just teleport it there; TeleportAirVehicle.
I didn't have any problems with the helicopters once I managed to get them flying.
The movement thing where they head off in odd directions etc.... This is because they're going too fast to turn for their waypoint, or the waypoint is too sharp. You have to make sure they're smooth and the chopper is heading slow enough to get round it.

If they're real weapon sounds then I work for Special Forces Group 5, First Batallion, D-Company.
Seriously, if they recorded those sounds then they did it from a distance with a tape recorder.

Supports GR.net

The reason they sound this way to me is that I played SWAT3 before GR, and the gun sounds on that were actual recordings of the weapons = very loud, very satisfying. The M16 on GR sounds like a door knocker.

Spiffing, much obliged.

I know, but I still thought they were.. well, pathetic. The original PC guns were quite loud, but the player's gun was played at a slightly reduced volume so that he could turn the playback level up a bit and hear more of the ambients. Most people adjust levels based on the loudest thing they hear, and that is almost always going to be your personal weapon. In subsequent patches/add-ons, the volume reduction was removed -

Isn't there just a Delta Force skin pack, because they're all I'm really after.

How big is the file?

JTF's sig. Anyone know where I can get that skin?
