  1. Yeah, LAPD SWAT generally use Springfield 1911s, do they not.

    Anyhoo, I figured it might have been a movie of the game...

    I'd see it anyway, it's my kind of movie (even just for the opportunity to scrutinise the various tactics).

    Yes, the amazingly talented enemy sharpshooters who have obviously been traning as snipers since the age of five.

    I agree with the drivable vehicle thing. It also annoyed me in Black Hawk Down. If you're playing as soldiers, whether it be Delta Force, Rangers, 10th Mountain, Ghosts... You won't have the skills to fly a damn chopper. Jeeps and cars, yes. I wouldn't mind having the ability to drive around in jeeps etc, but flying choppers is just ridiculous. That's what freakin' chopper sims are for.

    I also agree with connie... You should have to complete all your objectives, even after killing everyone. Sometimes it saves time, but has anyone had the problem on Mission 9 (swamp) where you kill everyone before you capture the officer and you don't get the specialist as a result? Grr.

    And I hate that these double 'ard SF guys are so crappy at shooting. The reticule pips need to converge much quicker.

    Ah, and they'd do well to add some of the mod weapons like Earl's stuff. I had been crying out for an M4+203 for ages, and also an M16 + Frags.

  3. Please..please...NO use of any of those arcadish Unreal-type engines. That would completly ruin GR2. Let the GR2-engine be based on the same principles as the GR1-engine but updated to it's current standards.

    I don't want an arcadish engine. I just want an updated one that is capable of allowing iron sights.

  4. The only way to gte the MOH is to kill 30+ enemies. They're all based on how many people you kill or things to do with accuracy etc. They can't really program the game to take note of how heroic you were at a given moment.

    I think some are awarded for completing objectives with certain criteria intact.

  5. I noticed that I only got a MOH when a soldier got 30 or more kills, so I started a game with just one guy and at the start of Mission 10, he had Two Silver Stars, two Bronze stars, a purple heart, both the Georgian & Lithuanian campaign ribbons, and four Medals of Honor.

    I tend not to get too many when I use more soldiers, because I use each man equally so the kills are shared out.

    Yeah, I get round that by putting the insertion zone near where the chopper lands. For example I have a mission on D08 (Tank) where the insertion is on the road near the stone house. The Choppers come in from off-map across the river. If there are six or less people, that's fine, but if there are more, the extras just spawn in the insertion zone instead of the heli so they can watch the Blackhawks come in and land.

    Is it possible to create a Mogadishu Map for GR ???

    Nishi made a map called "Downtown" that can be found around here somewhere.

    If I were you, i'd wait until Nishi released his NMM 3.0 mod, it'll be very BHD like.

    I'll check that out.

  9. Before I got the 1.3 patch I was able to use the blhwk_damage model in missions. If you don't know, it's basically the same as the downed seahawk on Embassy only.... a blackhawk (better example would be the BH on "Night Mission" and mission 10).

    Anyway, now that I'm running 1.4, I can't use the model anymore. It just crashes at startup. Anyone know why this happens and how I can stop it? It wouldn't be a problem if you could actually destroy the IT Blackhawks, but when you script them to be destroyed, all that happens is you can't hear the rotor sound anymore. It's intact, and the rotors still spin.

  10. I did this chopper mission on D06, where you're in a Blackhawk and you circle the hill with the house until all the guys are dead. On a few occasions, the very last guy either got scared or ran out of ammo, and got down on his knees with his hands up.

    I did this other one where you land at the back of the house and kill everyone on foot, and I was real pleased when this happened;
