  1. No, I've done all that. And I just did a test. Truck. Allied driver. Captive actor. Set to get in truck within 5 metres. He does it flawlessly. So I changed the real script so it was identical save for character and vehicle names. Doesn't work. Now I'm going to try renaming the vehicle and the actor, then stopping the truck somewhere else.
  2. Grr. It still won't work. I tried what I said I'd try. Didn't work. I tried leaving him on hostage behaviour. Didnt work. Does anybody have any idea why this isn't working?
  3. GR is my favourite game right now, but I like SWAT3 for a few reasons; 1: Exceptional weapon sounds 2: Penetration values (oh, what's that? You're hiding behind that wall? So freakin' what?) 3: Most-of-the-time intelligent AI (checking corners, sweeping rooms) 4: Command interface (RED! Breach, bang and clear! GO when ready! -- BLAM, clunk, *POP* "Go, go, go" Blat blat blat "Hands on your head, do it NOW!"...)
  4. Ooooh I hate it. I like to be able to drop and shoot, not drop.... wait, it's nearly there... nearly... almost... Then shoot. I like the M16.
  5. I watched this really crappy one about Bravo Two Zero on Bravo or some obscure channel like that. The recreations were dire. They were inserted via Huey instead of Chinook. Some of the 'Iraqis' were eskimos. Also, the guy made it out that "Bravo Two Zero" was the patrol's nickname or something. B Squadron, Patrol 2, ya freakin' hacks.
  6. I quite like the SWAT3 system. Think about a tank scenario. Command menu: 1:Alpha 2:Bravo 3:Charlie Your demo specialist is in Alpha. Press 1. Next menu: 1: Matthias Fitch 2: Dion Thompson 3: Jack Stone Press 2. Next Menu: 1: ROEs 2: Movement 3: Engage Point your reticule at the tank. 'Engage' becomes highlighted. Press 3. Boom. That might look complicated, but with some quick practise, it'll simply be a matter of 1,2,3.
  7. Well, I tried adding him to the allied platoon and making him a 'hostage' instead of captive, and that didn't work either. But yes, it could well have something to do with that, because the regular soldier actor gets into the truck fine. I've just edited it a bit, and if it doesn't work I'll stick him on the allied platoon and then disable hostage behaviour when he gets to the zone.

  9. Well see, he didn't have a plan to start with. And I made the zone rather large to make sure he tripped it, but I'll try changing the range anyway.
  10. That's the first thing I did. It didn't work. The reason I used the plan is because I saw somebody say that VehicleLoadPlatoon doesn't work with trucks.
  11. There's a driver from the allied team in the truck. I want the prisoner to get in the truck with him.
  12. I have been told that the GR engine wouldn't allow Iron Sights. But then one day I was using a sniper rifle and thought... When you zoom in, you get that black circular outline, and then I thought... Why can't it be used for regular rifles? The game is programmed to show that black outline when you zoom in with a sniper rifle, so isn't it possible to apply this to an assault rifle but using a modified 'outline' in the shape of the weapon's sight?
  13. Mmm... M14... Also, I'd like an M21 sniper rifle. Semi-auto goodness. I'd also like to see a proper Mp5n model. The kit icon shows an MP5n but the actual model is an sd5 or therabouts. A wider range of pistols! Mk23, USP, 1911 (ability to choose the pistol you want as a default sidearm in addition to your two - or more - kit slots).
  14. Background; Enemy platoon is killed, an actor is set to captive behavio(u)r. Then, when he gets within x metres of a zone, I want him to board a truck. Problem; He won't bloody do it. I thought it may have been to do with the truck being in the opposing company, but I put him in the allied company to test this and he still doesn't board it. The Trigger is [actor] is within 1 metre of [board truck] Response: Assign [board truck plan] to [actor] The plan is basically alertness and Enter vehicle. Ideas?
  15. What does this do? I was going to try it myself to see what it did, but I figured I'd be better asking.
  16. Yeah, I just figured out they have to be offset a little.
  17. I converted some images last night to use with a campaign, but when they show up on the main menu, they're all stretched to fit the screen for some reason (only showing about half of the picture too). Is there a specific size they're 'sposed to be? The ones I used were 1024x768.
  18. Must be real quiet, considering the MP5sd5's report is actually drowned out by the sound of the bolt.
  19. If there's going to be stealth in a mission, I'd rather it was optional than a set theme. Likewise for firefights. I like to keep my options open.
  20. Hmm... Sounds a nice mod. Found a folding stock Ak model in the folders, he says...hmm...
