Yes. The AI in GRAW will be exactly the same as in Rainbow Six: Lockdown. GRIN can't be bothered coding their own AI. In fact, UBI won't let them make their own AI because they are under pressure from Bill Gates to make GRAW unimpressive for [some conspiracy theory crap], and porting the game from the 360. I agree with Sup. 'Tactical Simulator' suggests that a game is a simulator that is tactical, not that it simulates tactics (you don't need to simulate them, you can use them with most games). GR is indeed a tactical shooter at best. The only game I would associate with the moniker 'TacSim' is OFP (and subsequent iterations), and you could still say it is a shooter. Very badass addons. The characters are indicative of how far OFP has come in the past five years. The map itself is the best desert environment I have seen for OFP. I've been waiting for this stuff; I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it on OFP.info.

Just so we are clear - when I said 'stationary vehicles' I was talking about the parked ones you get on maps like Embassy, not the pickups and such the enemy use.

Well, stationary vehicles exploded and then changed to a 'damaged' texture when you hit them with enough explosives. The effect was quite crude, but it did the job back then.

I use it all the time, but I guess that just makes me a soft PC player as we have that option by default. I think the coolest thing about RES is the way your ammo pool and roster are carried over to the next mission. Does that happen on Xbox?

Alot of games these days have 'gore level' options, and the likes of Soldier of Fortune had a 'gore install', but obviously even having the option for increased gore still earns a rating above 'Teen' level. I think that's about as tasteful as you are going to get without having something like Medal of Honor, where the only hit detection you have is a puff of smoke.

Talking purely from PC version experience, hoping it is the same as XBox: I hate that mission. I didn't lose anybody to the DSHKs for some reason, I think they were concentrating their fire on the Air Cav guys. I went straight toward the chopper, took out the gunners and went up the East side to the village, then came back down the West side after I had the hostages, securing the chopper on the way.

First grab the 1.96 patch from the 'patches' section here. You can check out the addon sections in this forum for some of the best and most recent addons, alternatively you could search around on this site for pretty much anything you can think of. This thread lists a number of the best addons and effect replacement packs for OFP. The most recent total conversion (i.e replacing everything from units and weapons to islands and effects) is Flash FX Unit Replacement.

Alternatively the button could just boot up GR1 and let you play that.

Well, if you ever feel the need to partake of some original OFP goodness with addons et al (and the addons available out there really do make it a whole new experience), then you can pick up a GOTY edition for breadcrumbs. That is, if you aren't put off by graphics that many don't consider to be quite 1337 enough.

But that isn't going to happen. All it is, as Snowfella said, is information gathering. Perhaps this is the point that is being missed. There aren't going to be any 'accuracy points' in Game2, at least according to the available information. You will not be advancing your character in any way. I feel I should stress that.
