Yeah, I figured Jackman would be in the running somewhere. I know Kurt Russell as Snake is probably not going to happen, it would just be cool considering that Solid Snake is apparently based on Snake Plissken (which is probably a good reason for Russell not doing it).

Those are the specialists in GR2, right?

It had better be Kurt Russell, or I am not watching it. Who am I kidding, I am so watching it.

I just saw one of a mouse being put in a tank with a Ball Python. *SPOILER* The mouse does not win.

Camel spider http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY9Cc-13Ubk This isn't really as bad because the spider doesn't actually chase the lizard down, but I really wouldn't want to see that thing move anyway.

If anyone is feeling brave, I could go find the one of the camel spider eating the lizard...

IF YOU WATCH THIS VIDEO YOU WILL DIE OF FEAR. Seriously. Do not watch this video. EDIT I felt I should hammer home that if you are particularly squeamish, you really shouldn't watch this. Also if you like mice.

Armed Assault E3 2006 Trailer
2nd Ranger replied to 2nd Ranger's topic in ArmA / Combat Operations - General Discussion
Plus from what I have read on these forums, the majority of GR players never liked OFP for some reason. Anyway, I just have to comment on those animations again. The part where the two soldiers are walking slowly with their weapons up (as in screenshot#5) is beautiful. Their movements are so fluid. -
Armed Assault E3 2006 Trailer

That video ranks as one of the most awesome things I have ever seen. Check those animations out. So badass. I liked the music, it is reminiscent of the original OFP soundtrack, just more up to date. In one of the other videos you can hear the revamped OFP theme, with instruments and everything. The original soundtrack was all synth, I am glad to be getting some proper music this time. -
The 4 slot Co-op limit needs sorting
2nd Ranger replied to Dai-San's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
There may be more seats in the vehicles, but that doesn't mean that those cargo positions have been enabled for extra characters. Maybe they have, but if not, that is just something else the modders will have to find and fix. -
The AI get knocked over when they get hit, right? I think that would be cool if it happened to you. It would sure as hell make you cling to cover when you got back up. It might get annoying after a while, particularly if you were still being shot at and it would obviously take you a bit of time to get back up, so perhaps it would be better if it only happened if you got hit while running, making you lose your balance.

The 4 slot Co-op limit needs sorting
2nd Ranger replied to Dai-San's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
I think alot of people have the wrong idea about that. As I understand it, you can't just edit the XML and suddenly have 8 players. You would need to allow more players so you can then make a custom mission with that many slots. As someone pointed out in another thread, there's no room for any more guys in the chopper anyway. -
1. If practical, please change the fact that the mission fails if the host dies in co-op. At the very least, allow the remaining players to get to an evac zone, not just fail the mission straight away. 2. Allow the player to get over obstacles such as low walls. Not a 'jump', but either a climbing function like in the Rainbow Six series, or even better - a clamber/vault action as seen in games such as CoD2 when you reach an obstacle. 3. Ability to trade ammunition with your team mates. 4. Some classic weapons such as the M16/M4 family. The modders will surely take care of this though,

Shouldn't Capt. Mitchell be a part of the team
2nd Ranger replied to Freshmixture's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
That would ruin my fun, personally. I don't want some teen-rated one-liners from my character basically dictating what I say when I drop someone. Maybe you guys don't talk to your defeated enemies, but I do. It would get annoying after a while anyway, not least of all because A: You usually do most of the killing and the messages would be too frequent, and B: you'd tire of hearing the same messages over and over. -
not sure what u mean but there are levels where u have to defend the mexican president, and a few lonewolf missions He's asking if there are any other game modes such as Firefight in GR, where you had to kill a certain number of bad guys on the map. Also, any chance of some screenshots of the park and desert areas? That leads me on to another question - can you go back and play any mission you like once you have beaten them? I.E, can you view each mission in a list in the campaign menu and replay the missions?

Is it just me or is this a bit non P.C.
2nd Ranger replied to .45 cal Sushi's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
I would think the Russians are used to it - They've been the bad guys in most games and movies for about thirty years. -
The older one looks badass. Perhaps it would have stayed that way had people not complained that it looked too bright. Now we have others (or maybe the same people) saying it is too yellow. It would be cool if you could scale it to your tastes with a slider, but I guess that won't happen.

Crosscom 3d Wireframe for PC?
2nd Ranger replied to bigworm's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
Bo's answer to questions right after the first wireframe Cross-Com screens were released; More of a gameplay thing then. However I'm reasonably sure that at one point he did say something along the lines of "it has more of a classic GR feel to it". I'll keep searching. -
Crosscom 3d Wireframe for PC?
2nd Ranger replied to bigworm's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
As far as I remember it was taken out because people complained about it, which resulted in the whole scaling down of the HUD. Perhaps performance was a factor too. -
Lindy Cohen and the other women

Pretty sure the Ramirez in GRAW and GR2 is 'Joe Ramirez' or something, not Henry Ramirez from GR. -
Thoughts On Jumping
2nd Ranger replied to =VR= dr_awesome's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
I think this topic title should be changed to 'getting over obstacles' or something; too many people are just saying "no, I hate jumping" and not really commenting on the alternatives. -
Thoughts On Jumping
2nd Ranger replied to =VR= dr_awesome's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
Well as the original poster stated, he isn't talking about jumping per se, just a way to get over obstacles. The need for an R6-style 'clamber function' was highlighted many times, way back during the GR2 wishlist. As someone already said, the CoD2 style 'vault' over objects would be perfect. You can't do it whenever you want, and it isn't a 'jump'. You simply have an icon that appears when it is possible to vault over something, and you press the action button to activate it. This would also fit nicely into the Body Awareness feature, as you would see your hand supporting you as you perfo
