  1. Just to clarify, Biro was saying that it has to be grouped with the title "_1". It looks like maybe you've titled it "room_1".
  2. Arg! I don't have MSN. You don't have AIM or ICQ do you? I set up MSN a while ago, but the dang thing gave me all sorts of problems with trillian and so I got rid of it and haven't been able to figure out how to get a new account!
  3. We played it last night and ran into the same problem with Metal meets Meat that SOTOMac did. Tried it several times and crashed each time. Other then that, I enjoyed the missions very much! We took about 20 stabs at that hostage rescue mission on the tiny map. We got the first two objectives finally, but our attempt was spoiled by something I won't ruin for those who haven't played it yet.
  4. Did I miss a download link somewhere?
  5. Looks good man. I really think those indoor shots could use some lighting, though.
  6. I've just always been very deliberate and specific when placing paths through tight bottlenecks. You'll probably have to throw in lots of points to make sure the line never runs through impassable geometry. I've given some consideration to using the Line formation, but haven't tested to see how that effects it. Often times, the tangos will take forever to get through the area, but they will make it eventually.
  7. Very. Nice. Briefing. Marshall.
  8. *cough*pictures of maps!*cough* Looks great as always Para.
  9. Wouldn't there be legal issues with modifying the lighting on a map and then redistributing the newly lit version? Or maybe I'm just confused about what you mean.
  10. Thanks Jack! Downloaded Fraps, gonna check it out. That DV Cam looks nice, but I'm just looking to mess around. Don't want to buy any equipment.
  11. That Crawlin' video was nice! How do you put something together like that? I assume it's part cinematics, part live actor and part machine to chop it and convert it, but is there a prog you use to capture the video?
  12. Hey Prozac, where can I see a movie you've made? I don't think I've seen any GR movies.
  13. Thanks Xman! Downloaded it. Will check it out here shortly.
  14. In that last line of script, did you mean to set it to mark the friendly death objective? Or is there some reason that you are marking the extraction objective complete twice?
  15. Thanks guys! That did the trick perfectly. Put a light in the room and it looks nice.
  16. Sorry sleeper! Your post wasn't there when I posted my last one and I was in the middle of a game so I had to run without looking at the thread. Yes, the room is technically a seperate room, not just the appearance of a seperate room. There are 5 actually. It is a Sun light, in just the outdoor room. Oh wait, you say that each room must have its own ambient light. Maybe that's what I'm messing up. I know in Q2 if you didn't place lighting your map was Fullbright. Does the same thing happen with GR, where it renders a high light level across the room if no other lights are put in?
  17. I'll get one up tonight. But it won't show much, because I can't share any critical info about the map. It's not creating any shadows or anything, it's just that the insides of the rooms are very bright. Brighter then they should be. I thought it was my ambient light, but I turned that way down and they are still just as bright.
  18. Yeah, Mr. Pibb. What Jack said about server-sided. The benefit is that a server can host that mission and people can join and play the mission without having to download anything. Mr. Pibb, look into scripting things based on mission type. You can set it so that if a game is Coop it won't go into cinematics and stuff. It may not be ideal, but it will turn a non-functional mission in MP into a functional one.
  19. Hi, At Tactical Gamer, we are looking to add some new missions to our Coop servers that can be completely server-sided. We're looking for objective-based missions and tend to steer clear of firefight or defend type missions. If you have played any of en4rcment or Mot's work, that is a good reference for the type of missions we are looking for (though randomness is a big plus). If you have any or know of any good missions that can be server-sided and played in MP Coop, would you mind listing them here? I'm hoping you scripters can point me to which of your own missions will work server-si
  20. Not to my knowledge. But there are clever work-arounds. You could probably figure out a way to kill off any extra players, but that wouldn't be very nice at all. The helo will not work properly in MP. It only updates it's location information to the server, not the client, so the host would see it move, but everyone else would see it right whree it spawned. If it is entirely stationary it might work. Yep. Player platoon works the same for SP and MP. Cinematics will not work in MP. Here's how the shadow problem works. If an actor is hidden during the game, sometimes a s
  21. For some reason, my sunlight is lighting up the inside of a building that is a seperate room from the outside. Any idea what might be causing that? I know I have a small leak at one place, but it is even lighting up other rooms in that building that don't leak. Thanks.
  22. Just copy extra versions of the missions into the campaign mod/missions folder. That way, the missions will still appear for server-sided use with MP1 and MP2, and you'll be able to play them in Campaign mode. edit - or maybe I'm wrong and they should work even without that.
  23. You can make changes to the fog setting, but not the skybox or anything. So, theoretically, you could have a fog that gets darker as the game progresses, but you'd need to find a skybox that made sense in daylight and nighttime. My suggestion would be to compromise and pick an overcast sky and go from early evening to late evening. But there are lots of enterprising individuals around here who can probably help you try out some unforeseen possibility.
  24. Well, sorry 'bout that. Don't know what was going on before, but this time it worked like a charm. Thanks.
