    Yeah that annoys me too. The enemy AI is funny, in that they will be sporting flashy new AK 47s, just out of the Mog' , will hit you at distance after you pop out from behind a wall, wheras you've only just had these tangos come out of the background, and you've been hit!

    Annoying that they follow you when they can't see you. But then, that's what M136, or frag 'nades are for. <_<

    SNIPER

    I go sniper when I have to, but am generally in no hurry to. I much prefer the big bang of 'nades and being in and amongst the action, not at distance. The sniper rifle I do choose, however, is the SR-25, as it's as close to a rifleman's weapon as you'll get on sniper. Am I right with that, or should I try another rifle?

    this may be posted in the wroing section, but I need help (yes, it's the truth. I do...) with Frostbite mission 3- sniper's nest. Long Shots with an m136? what tha...? It's got me stuffed. I can only pick 2 Demo guys to equip with m136s, and aiming for long shots is no mean feat!

    HELP!

    any ideas?

    Camping is someone who stays in one position without knowing where the other players are. He or she sits in one spot waiting for someone to walk by. If you know where the players are then you aren't camping your just waiting for a clean shot.

    Amen to that.

    I firmly believe that is what most ppl do, wait for their shots. I think `camping' went the way of the dodo about the time that quake 2 was replaced.

    Hey Black-Sheep.

    Again, sory for your loss. BUT sounds like you're on the upbeat way of thinking. I've only just started here at gr.net, love the game, and the guys are right, the server seems good - not that I've been able to get anyone to play against yet..

    Yes, get it and more specifically, get the GR Gold Edition. There are plenty of people still playing and if you like MP, our Games Room forum here has listings of servers to play on both dedicated and player hosted. Welcome to GR.net.

    Watch that the Desert Seige CD isnt in fact a Ghost Recon CD. thats what happened to me. Just be careful - I spoke to my guy at EB yesterday and was told that it's dicontinued. I got one of the last in stock at this store a few months ago.

    It just would'nt be fun if you could run 40mph and jump 6 stories high like in Unreal 2003, now would it? ha! :rocky:

    I was at a LAN last weekend introducing some mates to the joys of GR and the two complaintds I got (which stopped the guys from playing it mind you) were `no jump' and lack of head bob. How sad. I mean, c'monnn, what do you WANT to jump on or over? and head bob? like you notice it in real life. He's just waiting for HL2 so he can get CS2 I spose....

    I've noticed thsat there's been no sledging in GR fullstop. I havn't heard `Aimbot' or `Wallhack' aimed at anyone playing for a while. especially seeing as there's a co-op MP mode. like it a LOT.

    and Dugite? hey. North or South? I'm north nr Joondalup. Good to catch up with a local GR fan. :D

    Amen. It's amazing how many times one can be called a camper, with no real justification.... BUT camping during a LAN can be fun - talking to people "setting up tent, now making a campfire...Damn forgot the sleeping bag!" always puts them off...

    Me and a mate are playing MP and just trotting around, having fun (as you do). We waltz through, clearing and pesky russkies, Me with a sniper rifle and Nem with his weapon of choice....

    Nemesis had a bad habit of getting either leg or arm shots that game - the one in question was his first, and I think he got both. We know how easy it is to complete a game shuffling and not being able to shoot quick....

    ANYWAYS....

    Nem got tired of it quick, decided it was all over.

    I've only just found other servers about, after playing with mates cross country for the last few months. It's so hard to find time with the time diffs! I'm in Perth, btw..

    And Wolf -

    You play with alot of newbies, you will stay a newbie.

    Dunno. with the guys I've been playing with I've raised my level from `moving target and occaisional TK'er' to `war correspondant' - meaning I can shoot, watch, and take screenshots at relatively the same time. The guys can (almost) be assured of me not shooting them by mistake (they creep up on me from behind and say `boo' now)
