[Look back and laugh most embarrassing death]

I've had more than a few embarrassing deaths but none as funny as my most embarrassing kill.

2 of us were playing co-op on a map with a huge medieval castle (frostbite I think) we had to storm in and snatch an enemy officer. Well into the game we find him and my friend soon after gets killed, I check the map and see that the officer is right behind me. I continue along the battlements checking the map every few seconds to see that the officer is still following. I cautiously walk down a spiral staircase and open the door at the bottom - there's a tango right behind it -DAKKA DAKKA! I fry his ass, point blank, full auto - the game ends.

It was the officer, he had been following me but whereas I'd been on the battlements he'd been in the corridor below! goofball

[Mac Mods?]

I don't know how big GR is on the mac compared to other mac games but there are always plenty of hosts on Gameranger plus many clans. Mac players can join a pc host - you just need the IP address and the latest version of GR for the mac.

PC mods/maps/missions etc will work with macs as long as the files are zipped and not in the form of an EXE file, but even that can be overcome.

For example, Island Thunder hasn't been released for the mac but if I bought and installed it on a friend's pc I could then just burn the IT folder to a CD and copy it to my mac's mod folder.

So if any pc GRers host mod files on their websites, making them zips rather than exes would make mac Ghosts very happy ; )

ps. I play GR on a 700mhz iMac (with most settings turned down) so your friend will be okay.

Ah, that could be why I can't find it anywhere, I don't have IT yet. But can the host can still select the game without having the IT mod active? The game type says 'Assassinate' or 'Assassination', does cat and mouse show this?

The one I'm talking about is a mp team game, where one person is the general and the game ends when the other side kill him. The general has flames coming from his feet and leaves a trail when he runs.

The challenge:

to kill all enemies in under 5 minutes

I play it with the X1|Clan Extreme Combat mod, using the Colt M4 silenced sop mod (rifleman kit 49) and have managed it only once so far (4:49).
