So what do you use?
This is my current setup. Saitek Cyborg evo Force and Belkin n52. I don't use the keyboard any more with IL-2+FB+AEP+PF

Most of the people whom have had problems with SP2 are those whom have already had problems with SP1 and their computer in general. I run SP2 on my computer without nary a problem and less resource usage than SP1. I just built a new computer for my wife for christmas and installed XP w/SP2 and it also runs just fine.

Oh, forgot to mention that the 3.04 patch is now looming on the horizon! Now that would be a nice New Year gift!

The patch to 3.03 is now out along with the dedicated server.

Both of those are beta patches (both have been out for a week or so now). The last "official" patch was 3.01
There is also a new DGen beta as well. You can get the DGen beta here:

Make sure you get the patch that was released today. And get the right one, there are two patches... One for PF (3.01) and one for the FB+AEP+PF (3.01m)

You get the idea. At some point you have to stop waiting and build a new rig.

Well if you play online, after another month you may not be so happy with FB: AEP. It will be just like when AEP was released, all the servers (well 98%) will switch to IL-2: FB+AEP+PF.

I use my set-up (Saitek Cyborg evo and Belkin Nostromo n52 SpeedPad) for IL-2:AEP. Love the evo! I use the Saitek SST software and the config file in IL-2.

I am not a fan of the X45 (or the new X52). I use and love this setup:

More like a lot of folks had infections that they did not know of until they installed SP2

I think you might actually find that the 4x6 Wacom pad is just the right size. The larger pads eat up too much space. I've been using a 4x6 pad for the past 8 years.

I like these... not much into multi speaker systems on my computers. Two speakers is plenty for me (when I use speakers, which is very seldom). Ordering a pair today!
