just ds/it those are the only mods, and in the lobby it puts the games i create in with the other undetected games, also when i try to join other games hosted by someone w/ 1.4 it will say "ubi canno detect if your version of the game will match w/ the host, enter anyway?" I know i have v1.4 cause it's gr gold, and it says so in the bottom right of the main menu. I never had these problems b4 but had to reinstall my os, (due to other problems.) since then, i have uninstalled and reinstalled gr, but it will not work right.

in the ubi game lobby it shows my version as "undetected" and for my ping it shows an asterisk. I definitely have version 1.4 and should have a low ping, I want to host games but no one will join because it shows me as undetected, I've tried to uninstall/reinstall ubi.......is there anything else I could try? I have gr gold edition/ win xp

ok nevermind, it seems that it would only crash to desktop when I'd try to resume my saved game, I have restarted the mission and saved again and now it works fine...I can even resume all my new saves. just thought I'd post in case anyone else needs to try it. Thanks for the help.

ok, I just reinstalled my whole operating system and gr was working fine since, I attempted to upgrade my driver for the new card (the driver from the disk is not the newest one) but now it crashes at mission start again. I did not uninstall the old driver first....do i do that in the add/remove programs window? there is only one nvidia on the add/remove list, will that delete my new driver as well? just in case you need it here is the new dxdiag (since I reinstalled the whole O.S.) ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 9/20/2003, 05:06:49

I just bought the nvidia fx 5200 and now when I double click I can't bring up gr or ubi game service and some other games won't load either. Hey, when I double-click on the desktop GR icon to play the game, first it takes about 5-10 minutes before anythings happens, then once the main menu finally appears, I prepare to continue my campaign, but once the mission starts, it crashes to desktop. For months I was playing fine, every now and then it won't boot me but it lags horribly. (which it didn't do b4) I'm not sure if frostbite caused this so I uninstalled it anyway and I'm still having the same problems, I can sometimes play multiplayer with no problems. I've recently found out that I can play online at gamespy.com just not ubi.com, It would still be nice to figure out my problem but this will definitely do for now, thanks for all your help, If you find out anything let me know. Once again thanks!

This whole problem occured even with ds/it. first i downloaded ghost recon then the second disk........with ds/it on it (they're on the same disk) I had the problems mentioned I uninstalled everything I installed the first disk again, have not installed the second then i talked to you.... still think that's the prob?

Sorry bout that, win:xp 256mb I don't know how to find out which version of sound card or directx I have, but since I can play single player mode just fine I don't think thats the prob. but what do I know.......please help. I have ghost recon gold edition. I can play by myself just fine. When I try to play at ubi.com I'll be in the game lobby and double click/or try to start my own game and I get a message that says I have an anterior version of the game v.1.0.0.2 play anyway? I click yes, the screen switches and I see a 5 sec. countdown, then I hear the disk startup. then I get an error message that says "ghostrecon.exe has encountered a problem and will need to shutdown" then I'm prompted to send error report to microsoft. even though ubi.com says I have version 1.0 on the main menu of the game it says v1.4

I'm having the exact same problem, what exactly did you have to do?
