  1. Anybody had the chance to play this demo yet ? The concept seems pretty interesting. I stumbled across it looking for something else.

Guess I'll have to grab the demo and check it out and let you guys know then.

    doh...forgot the link.

  3. Okay I am climbing the walls here.

    Situation.

Trying to install an Audigy 2ZS in a rig running ME ( don't ask, spare computer ). Used the disc that came with card and installation got to 99 % and rig hung. Rebooted and it asked for certain files it couldn't find when the found new hardware box popped up. Pointed it to right dir and all, even on install disc. And rig hung again. Pulled card out and she booted up fine.

But upon boot I notice all the files i.e Creative Soundbank and all the other utilities are there. Even the little icon in the tray for audio properties was there. No options in Add/Remove to take out the Creative folder.

So d/l Driver Cleaner and choose to remove Creative entries. Does it or so it says. Now though that Creative option isn't there in DC to remove Creative crap.

Removed most of Creative entires in registry I could find, though I am sure there are more in there in hkey classes root folder I think as they start with CT blah blah. Don't want to remove them in case they are some other crap and I bung things up even more.

Anywho pop card in to try and do the install all over and get same damn message...cannot find some stoopid files needed. So there are still reg entries hanging around.

Basically I was wondering if anyone knows of a program to get these damn reg entries out so I can wack this card in. I have new set of drivers specifically for ME that work 'cause I know someone else who used them for same card with ME running.

I just want all these damn entries out so I can start anew.

    Thanx.

  4. Before you even start thinking about upgrading, make sure your PSU can handle it.

    No worries it's a 600 watt PS.

A 940 system you win a lota money or something ????,

    I wish...been saving forever.

Anyways to hell with it..dumping the PPU and going with dual 7900GTX cards.

Just gonna have to do a little more man-whoring to pay the extra is all.

    :whistle::P

  5. Building a new rig and need advice on a video question.

    Specs are gonna be:

    Pentium® D Processor 940 with Dual Core Technology 3.20GHz, 800FSB

    2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz

250GB Serial ATA Hard Drive @7200RPM

    AGEIA® PhysX® Physics Accelerator

Now I am not sure which vid card to go with. For the same price I can get a 512MB ATI Radeon X1900 XTX or Dual 256MB PCI Expressâ„¢ x16 (DVI/VGA/TV-out) nVidia GeForce 6800.

I really wanted to go with Dual 512MB nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX cards but it just may be a tad too pricey for me, $700 extra.

So my question is which would be better, or is there not really much difference between the two choices ?

  6. I can see rain, rain, rain. And more rain.

Seeing as I live in a townhouse complex my view is kind of limited. Last night I did see paramedics take my neighbour out on a stretcher. Don't know what for. Seeing as he is a drunk he probably fell down the stairs again.

Don't mind me, I don't particularly like my neighbour. He calls the police on me all the time for noise complaints. Not like I have a party house or anything. Last time he called the cops for having musik too loud, yet there was a 3yr old and a 6yr old asleep upstairs in my house who never woke up...go figure.

BTW...it is still raining, now I see the mailman tho. Yay more bills.

  7. I was wondering if any fellow Canucks know where I can purchase a p4 2.0ghz-2.6ghz 512kb 400mhz fsb cpu from a Canadian company ?

I have found US dealers that have them but do not feel like getting dinged the $55US FedEx shipping charges for a tiny processor.

It is for an old Dell 4300 that I went to upgrade but the jerkofff who put it 2gether glued the damn cpu to the heatsink and I cannot get it off for the life of me(and believe me I have tried everything short of a blowtorch  ). Since it is a Dell I had to buy a replacement heatsink off Ebay for it as only Dell parts fit on the mobo, go figure

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.
