I've never played a game on an LCD, but I've heard this a lot.If you are talking in purely gaming terms then currently it has to be CRT. LCD's seem to "lag" a little, and sometimes noticably "refresh" (though it is nothing to do with refresh rates as CTR's, the pixels on a lcd's are either on or off).
The LCD monitors at the college are way too dark. I'd hate to play War of Infamy on those things. I have enough trouble on night missions as it is. There's no need to make them darker.I also find the image on a LCD a little too dark for my liking, which messes up the colours if I am doing anything with photographs/design.
And it doesn't take long for that kind of crap to happen. They've only had the LCD monitors for a few months at college and already a few of them have this problem.Plus on quite a few LCD's I have used I have noticed pixels getting "stuck", that is you can see a pixel completely the wrong colour (e.g. neon green).
I've never had this. But just like with CRTs my eyes hurt after several hours of looking at LCDs.I know what you mean about headaches with a LCD as when using a laptop I have exactly the same problem. -

Seriously though, try it again. I think you'll find that you can. If not, I don't know what's going on. It's not a problem either way.
