  1. - the backblast of your AT can be used to light your sigar. - binoculairs can be used to spy on people in the distance, trying to light their sigars. - Don't go into the water, your feet will get wet. - Claymores are not made of clay, don't try to make a vase out of it. - If you can't find a sniper, it's usefull to yell out, to show himself. - Hide in bunkers! People won't expect you to be hiding there.
  2. *seeking cover to hide in a tree 'till Biro passes (preferably an HLOD tree)*
  3. movingunit: Wish teamspeak wasn't required, would love to play with the PC guys as well. [on Mac] Love playin No Respawn as well. Oh well, someday. ;P It would be wrong to deprive you of having fun, so jump in there and just say you're on a Mac. You can refer to this post if people start giving you a hard time. cobblers: I'd jump on just say that TS doesn't work, what can they do to you!?!? So you'd lie? Is that it? This server is payed by people but still it's put to public use for your pleasure and you even don't have the courtesy to be honest. Shame on you sir!
  4. I strongly believe that the best way of getting a new member is simply to meet up in a gameserver and spend some time there. That way you get to know him and he gets to know you and your team. It's easier for both to make a selection then whether a membership will be benefitial for both. I have a feeling an advert like that could attract cheaters, TK'ers, or all other kinds of weird people. It's nice to see your team's name in a magazine tho
  5. Can you show me a wireframe render of the Chevy please?
  6. ehmm...what's the difference between this one and the previous one?
  7. I think it can.... Just create a terrain with the crater already in it. Then make a dynamic destroyable object that covers the crater and put a tree on top of it. As soon as you destroy the tree, the cover explodes with it, clearing it, to leave the crater visible. Why wouldn't that work?
  8. Yes, it is possible to do that. The object needs to to be made dynamic in order to be able to destroy it. Dynamic objects are very CPU-hungry however and using it in large quantities can cause the game to play a lot slower or lag.
  9. The way I make them is this: IN 3DSM: - Create a tree (you can use Shiver's tut's for that, if needed) - Go to your front-viewport and zoom the tree so it fits the screen enirely. - Go to your left-viewport and zoom the tree so it fits the screen entirely. - use Ambient-lighting and set it in the viewport to use 2 sources. - Render both the front- and left-viewport and save them as a .BMP. - Save your .MAX file. - Close 3DSM (or leave it open if your computer can handle 3DSM and PS at the same time) IN PHOTOSHOP: - Open the 2 rendered .BMP's - Make a duplicate of the layer (not

I like the HomeFront logo best. Like SilentNight said: if you cut out images you need to blend them in, in the new picture. My 3 points would be: 1) Readability: If something needs to be read, make it readable. On your first picture for instance, it's very hard to read both texts. 2) Fonts: use a font that suits the theme. Your last picture for instance uses the Joker-font for "the storm has arrived", while the general theme is spacious and science-fictionlike. SO that doesn't match. 2) Colorchoice: a color has a contradicting and an attracting colorrange to itself. A composi
  11. Relax fella's. It's all good. As soon as the mod comes out, you can check if it's too big or not. I'm pretty sure you won't be dissapointed about the MP gametypes that will be in there aswell. All regular gametypes will be supported. Chavez, Monkey and I believe Nexus too, made those missions. I only did some missiontesting and grading teams.
  12. Commandment #5: 'Honor your father and your mother.'
  13. I had it too. I think it comes with Kazaa when you install it but I'm not sure. You can fix it by going into the "Add or Remove Programs" application and simply un-install Perfect Navigator. There are a couple of clones with different names around aswell.
  14. I know what you mean but just a map will still require it to be treated as a mod that needs to be activated. The map and it's textures take up most of the space anyway, not the guns or missions. Pretty much anything that uses vast amounts of graphics or sound is the biggest contributor in filesize (IE: textures for the scene, videos, soundclips for the intro). A restriction kit will be added to use original stock only in case you prefer that. We also try to balance our new weapons to the stock weaponry and not make the kits too big where you have to cycle 5 minutes before you get to y
  15. Looks very nice dude. Once you start slapping on the textures it will look awesome.
  16. Very nice Prozac. You got quite an arsenal there.
  17. Thanks guys. Yes, I meant the windows messenger thingy, not MSN. I guess it was intended to be something like an update-notifier or something but those freakin' advertising-techies found use for it once again to annoy the public. I followed thru Recon's steps and I'll check if it stops popping up now. Thanks again
  18. I have a second titlescreen for the daymap: And this is a titlescreen for the night version (future project maybe) It's basic stuff but it's fun to make.
  19. What use would it be to seperate it from the mod itself? We are looking into choosing a ladder. There are a few ladders that are too much filled with cheaters or the admins don't do much about it so that's why we haven't decided yet.
  20. I'm getting these annoying Messenger Service Pop-ups every now and then. I have a firewall installed but it seems it's having no effect on those whatsoever. Anybody got a cure for this? Thanks
  21. I've used GameCommander2 in the past for voice-recognition with GR. And it works. Only problem sometimes is, is that it doesn't recognise the commands in all cases and issues some other command instead. It's pretty easy actually to install and setup. The software links your recorded command to pressing a key. GR believes you pressed the key and performs the action assigned to it in the settings. I still have a profile (=settingsfile) for GameCommander2 that works with GR. If you want I can send it to your email.
