  1. Great news! (if it's all true) I'm sure they'll have several mirrors all over the world.
  2. And thanks again Avey, Rocky and SC It's been a great day. Had a nice diner with my G/F at an african restaurant, with some of the weirdest animal-meat I've ever had but it all tasted delicious. Tip for any of you planning to visit an african restaurant: as an appetizer I would recommend the "driehoekiekerriekoekie"
  3. It was great for doing ladder-games on close-quarter maps. Had awesome firepower and some nice armour. I do believe that supportweapons are negatively exagerated regarding accuracy in games though but then again, I never fired one for real.
  4. I hope tuesday, 'cause I've got wednesday off.
  5. same name I've been using since Gr came out in 2001: deleyt
  6. Looking forward to it! Nice job on getting it done just in time before GR3, H
  7. Sorry to say, never heard of him, although that doesn't mean anything. Cool looking illustrations and website there. Looks all top-notch
  8. I don't always agree on how decisions were made on aspects of the game, but I do appreciate the dedication you're putting into this game. So, thanks GRIN for answering questions.
  9. Looking forward to the download. Congrats on finishing it.
  10. Maybe because the ears and nose don't fit? */me runs for cover...*
  11. This Tim-guy just said that the game will be released in one month The last bit looked eally cool though. Noticed that the shadows have LOD's aswell.
  12. One reporter can't pronounce an "S" and the other can't pronounce "Paypal"
  13. Germany needs to promote WC2006, so that's probably why they're spending more time on it. Besides, this is probably as close as Germany can get to having a go at the World-Cup JK!
  14. I understand what the cross-com does and how it can be used. Basic common sence tells me that it doesn't add a lot to the gameplay, but is more like a gimmick that just looks real nice (which I'm sure it does). If you ever played ladder-matches you'd know that games take place too fast to be staring at a little screen in the top corner, looking through someone elses eyes if there's a target to be killed. You'd be dead by then. In COOP, sure it might work but it still needs to be proven, at least for me. You've seen the game, what, 3-4 hours?, effective gameplaytime 20 minutes maybe (
  15. That's 20 km. away from my home I might actually go and see that I'm not too much into BIA though..the game-engine makes me nocious (has something to do with the perspective ) EDIT: LOL...my hometown is actually on the map of one of the screenshots
  16. It still has to be proven if it's all that great. Having a lot of real-time visual information might be cool but also deminishes the imagination. It's kinda like reading a good book or watching the movie based on it: a movie presents it all as it is, leaving room for little to no imagination. While reading the book you actually have to form the image yourself, making it a bigger experience and pulling you inside the story. I'm sure that anyone who has ever read a book, knows what I'm talking about. I'm not debating whether the crosscom is more realistic or not, as I'm sure it will be
  17. It's not your question I'm debating, it's the way you title it. Anyone reading the forums can not tell what your thread is about. Two annoyances occur: 1) people jump in your thread only to find it's not what they are looking for. 2) people that actually do want to know more about your question, can't find it properly or are unable to retrace it. It's not just in our interest you start a topic properly, it's also in yours as your question gets answered faster and better.
  18. Would be great if people would create topics with a proper description about the thread.
  19. Yes, that's you. Good thing about options is, that you can choose not to use it. No, not really. You're missing the point. It's just fun adding something personal to the character. Besides, it's functional aswell. During matches/tournaments you want to minimize comms as much as possible and an armpatch or a name on the back would reduce "who's standing next to me right now?". I've spend quite some time getting a really nice camo-painted face for VBS1 once I learned how to do it. Others did the same and it all just added to the fun, even outside the game. We even made a gallery
  20. I always liked personalising my character in a game. It made me feel more like I was actually him (which is a good thing for a game right?) In Ravenshield and other games it is possible to have an armpatch, in OFP and VBS1 you can even get your own face onto the character. Since GR3 is all about pulling the player inside the game, I was wondering if it is/will become possible to personalise your character a bit in GR3, and how. If not, why has GRIN chosen not to implement this (bandwidth maybe?) Will it be possible in the future through a patch?
