So is the amount of memory...and the CPU.... Taking resolution and a vid-card into the equasion but leaving out the rest isn't a true comparison IMO.

No screenshots added because...well it's useless. Bugs/abnormalities found so far: - player (Mitchell) able to walk right into the enemies body (modelshell) - no collision so it seems? - teammates walking off into different directions even after giving the STOP-command (happened on mission 2 on top of the parking-garage. - reticle offset to aiming and "bouncing" exagerated (will FRAPS it soon, after I get my new vid-card. Not sure if I'm the only one suffering from it though. Not sure if this is a bug or intentional, but I am unable to move diagonally while prone (only forward/backwar

Field of View strange huh?

They sure do. People suffering from balance-instability (resulting in motion-sickness) have a disease called: Meniere-disease. Fast moving pictures, games, abnormal FOV or slight changes in balance (like shipmovements) can make these people very sick, even after a few minutes. I'm partly suffering from this. It's not as intrusive for me as for some others, but I can notice it for sure. -
I'm not implying that the entire gamecode has to be reverse-engineered. Getting out the file-formats and filesystem would be enough for the time being. It's gotta start somewhere. Nemon has already done some amazing reversing, so there are people willing to invest the time and effort. A modder mostly doesn't want to be part of an open source project. He just wants to mod his personal favorite game. At least, that's for me.

I think it's a nice idea. Would certainly boom the mod-releases faster, with information easilly accessed.

What's a TC mod?

Sorry to have been quite for a while on this mod but there wasn't a lot to report anyway. The mod will be continued but my computer simply can't take it anymore. I'm working on a P4 2.5GHz, 512Mb memory and Radeon9600. Things just take too long to test and to work with. I've ordered a new mobo, memory, cpu and videocard which will arrive soon. I'll be able to work on this mod again and finish it. So don't give up on it yet

Same here. Background is too dark for a black text. Glad it's possible to switch to green again. BTW: nice job on the new features and a nice looking banner.

Good stuff Nemon.

The texture is unwrapped on the model mirrored on it's x-as probably. Really like how this is evolving Good job guys.

I'm dutch aswell and have no problem translating it, as long it's not an entire book

I think you should go to the Design Section

Had mine today aswell in Holland. Was shipped yesterday. Played it once, then my rig froze up...ordered a new system at Newegg through a friend.

Yup.I had the same issues. Get the latest drivers. I used Omega-drivers which fixed it all.

Looking at the filesizes and filesystem of the demo, it's clear that GRIN chose to "pack it all together" in one bundle. Every piece of software can be reverse-engineered, IF you find a coder that has the proper knowledge and is willing to invest the time. It's a hasstle, but it's not impossible. When the game is loading it is unpacking itself for most of the part. So the code to reverse-engineer it is there. It's possible the code is unpacked realtime ofcourse, but that would put an extra load on the CPU, which I doubt as they need every clockcycle they can get for running the game it

Error code 6001 on installation / uninstall

Check if you've got enough harddisk-space (also your C: drive, eventhough you're putting it onto a different partition). Close any apps running in the background. -
I haven't played GR3 online yet but with GR I had 6 basic rules: 1) always know where your teammates are 2) keep in contact with them and provide as much information to them as you can, and vica versa. 3) change position often, keep moving if you can. 4) take clever usage of cover and concealment. 5) try to predict enemy-movement. 6) learn the maps. Knowing your territory gives you an advantage. As for the aiming, I guess that just takes a lot of practice

Thanks! -
I'm sure there will be moddingtools over time. GRIN was working on getting a public version ready and I doubt that all that work will go to waste. I've got confidence in the release.
