I was wondering if u could have a mission start at dusk and slowly go into night.
also Is there away to cancle the night vision like the forgot to bring it with u?

Name your effect whatever you want, but make sure the type is: Decal_Type3(1)(1)(0).
may i ask where the 3rd zero came from??this is on the effects page.
Types that use X=Size, Y=Delay:
- DECAL_TYPE1(X)(Y)
- DECAL_TYPE2(X)(Y)
- DECAL_TYPE3(X)(Y)

i use the effect list on the forum and i copy and paste the effects i make sure that i dont have extra spaces at the end. I went to test it out and the effect was a white hemisphere, not the effect. Is there a reason some effects work for me and others are white hemishere.
Note: the map this happened on is only one story/floor.

I have been doing a walk through of my one mission where an enemy actor is assigned a kit with no weapons. When he sees a person of player platoon he freaks out holds out his arms like he has a gun and seeks cover.
it looks very bad and makes him look like an idiot. how do u get him to freak out and go get cover with out him having a gun and acting like he does?

I have a friendly refugee soilder who is drinking some beer. I set up a random counter to 3. If on hard and the counter is at 3 i want the refugee. To pull out a pistol and shot at the player platoon. when they trigger a zone.
Would it be best to teleport the refugee and hide him and teleport the same actor but on the enemy team in his spot or is there a diffrent way that would be better?

No, I only have kit files from Ghost recon set. Do i put it all in a black mod and send it some where or what? I have them all made.

I made some kit resctictions on igor and i want them to be able to be downloaded. They are for multi player use only and i want only the host to have it and it to work for all the players in the room. Is there something i need to do?

sorry but i dont have the program to make the map and 2 i dont have the $ to buy it.
this is my map idea.
A mostly flat map some small rolling hills. on 1 side a trench that you can walk through and down into. On the other side. some little bunkers with sand bags that can have 50 cal MG a tower or 2 would be nice. about 50 feet in front of the bunkers with the sand bags barbed wire across the whole map width about 20 feet of barbed wire from one side to the other. From the barbed whire back to behind the trench have spots that if a damage effect is there that it will blow the ground up and make a crater.
also behind the bunchers with sandbags have a mountain/ hill than u cant go on for out of bounce. Than have a strip of land behing the mountain that can hold tanks for mortar rounds.
Size of map: medium to large
Sky: cloudy.
Weather: Rain
Fog: very little grey
Terain: Grassy some bushes and srubs few trees.

You need to create the AnyActor ActroRef. AI Company is the name of the enemy company if you doing this as a mis file and you have placed the enemy on a map, or you will have to set it as a VariableCompanyReference if you are using SpawnOppossingForce, etc. Each human player will automatically be a separate company (90% sure of this- someone will correct me if I'm mistaken) - depending on exactly what you a doing, you may need to assign variable references at the end of the game when calculating scores, etc.
ok do i need an actor ref for each actor in the AI company? I never used actor ref before.if im spawning them do i have to do a block for each spawn zone for 1 actor?

How would i reduce score with out a counter?

Ok my plan. I have a bunch of AI enemies that spawn in random spots. I want the human players to get 1 point for each AI enemy he/she kills (indvidual scores). I want the human players to lose 1 point if they kill another human player.
What do I all need to do.
Counters?
Actor refs?
other things?

.You put the sniper actor files in the Origmiss/Actor/Sniper folder. You put the sniper CHR files in the Character/Allied folder - and the kits into the kits/sniper folder.Or for that matter Kits/Custom, or Kits/Sniperalternate - then You alter the ATR files to refer to that particular folder
I want it so they will only be on my mod. I dont want any of the original actors to be done eighter. same with kits will that work some how.

have a timer go off in 3 seconds

could i do that or something like that having a circle of effects around his postion?

My plan is that an enemy actor (actor_xyz with kit gun_abc and a side arm of frag.)
I want if u take him prisoner he will follow you and after X seconds he does an animation like he droped a grenade and tries to blow himself and who ever is taking him up. How do i have the grenade explsion and the effect of dmg where he is.
please try to explain it like u are explaining it to a 2 year old

I played on a server where a guy made the nightbattle mission into day and he had a very light blue fog that made it look like dawn. It looked good expet for the fact that night battle looks better at night because th darkeness hides some bad lazyness the people who made the map did.
is that what u looking for or make it look like u would be walking through real fog.
ps: make a fog machine for ghost recon may work better.

lets take a set back here guys. Lets say I have all my snipers done and made. What folder do i put them in. (do i have to make a folder)

how do i get it so the actors i want can be selected to be played and have there kits with out having the defualt kits and players shown there?

maybe have it if you snipe the driver he runs.......as Jack has tutored many times.......actor ref can be done from well and easy to indepth and elaborate.
it could be done much easier this way and would have a more realistic effect
realism is good. I never used actor ref before who is the actor i use it on and after i make it what do i do with it. (i no varible set actor queriy actor thing) what do i do after that.
how do i make a realism camp fire. well not me but a enemy AI like what animation would be like he is going to start a camp fire.

when jeep destroyed turn off invincable......cancel old plans .....givem new ones
That would work im stumped on why i didnt think of that. O wait i would never have something that good come to me.

now what happens if me (anyone else who plays it) or an AI guy takes a regualar gun and shots them i want them to die. any way to script that?

I thought of that the people would all die but you will need a pretty good shot to take all the guys out with a AT4 or nade. It may be easier in the jungle jeep but i have a random count so neogassimova will
1. Walk the journy to the new camp camp A, B or C
2. take a jungle jeep to the new camp also A, B, or C
3. Take a humvee #1 to the new camp also A, B, or C
3. Take a humvee to#2 the new camp also A, B, or C
there are 3 camps marked by A, B, C
I also have soilders that A are snipers mostly that are camped out waiting to kill you and other soilders who went a head of the pack to get started.

the fog idea sounds nice just one thing on it. If a player platoon actor that u are controling looks up will the fog block the sky so the sky isnt the color of day?
yes kind of like the actor forgot to bring his night vision. Like i have the mission set out so far

You begining by seeing a card game with two friendly actors. In the back Ground you here a mortar wistle. Than the mortar hits between the people playing cards. Siren goes off and all the friendly actors run to there battle stations. So i want it like in the confusion some people forgot there night vision.
