  1. first of all thanks for point out how stupid i am. I should have him on captive :stupid:

    2nd that wont work. Im having a civil war i have to enemy companies and an allied both people i have to capture are on the enmy companies. I dont want my allies the snipers (non player platoon) and the player platoon that im not at the time not to fire at them but the other company of bad guys to fire at him.

    am i makign this 2 confusing?

  2. I have a soilder that you capture in hostage behavior. I noticed when you get with in x meters of him and it trigegrs the behavior he turns yellow on the map but when i touch him to secure him he turns back to red. Is there away to make him stay yellow?

    Also dont want any of the player platoon or allied soilders to kill him but i want a second company to be able to kill him. EX

    I have a company leader Carlos Garcia if you caputure him i dont want any of the player platoon soilders that you arent control at the time not to shot at him. I have a company of Allied snipers who i dont want them to shoot at him. I have a company of enemies of Allied and Carlos lead by Frank Hernadez that i want his company to be able to shoot at Carlos and kill him.

    Is therer somethign I can do?

  3. In the mission I have 1 chopper full of AI friendly snipers. They fly across the map. I clocked the travel till that landed and 2:59.47 mins on my stop watch. go to script time elapsed 180 seconds (i have 3 second wait on ground) have snipers exit vehicle. I save test it out the landed and dont exit the vehicle. Whats the problem with this.

  4. Yes you can shoot whilst in vehicles(at least helicopter) simply by standing up and keep PlayerPlatoonAI on.

    you can shoot from the chopper sitting down also but if u are siting you cant switch weapons or reload. Same with the boat/raft (cant remember the letters)

    ill have to test out the HX5 mod i heard alot about it.

    what do u mean u can fire from tanks? witch tank lets you in it or be able to fire from it?

  5. You could use Destroy vehicle - I know it will kill the sound but I'm not sure if they will shoot at it unless you put an actor in it. I'm also not sure if it will stay up there once 'destroyed'. You could also temporarily crank up the Spotting Distance to make sure they engage it. I'll be interested to see the results - great idea :thumbsup:

    what i noticed about choppers that are dead in the air is that it does kill the sound but will not follow any plans even ones in progress the chopper will just fly around randomly. it will stay at the hight that it was destroyed at.

    not sure what your plain fully maybe have some sirens going full blast that covers its alot.

  6. not sure totaly but if there is away get the tangos off the map and have them use 50 cal guns and only shot at the chopper that would work i think. I had a night mission with a chopper over head and i took a 50 cal at it and the tracer effect was nice. (2 bad choppers cant blow up in mid air) (may want to edit the gun rate of fire and sound)

    like right now i got a night mission where a Un soilder who is dressed as a civilian is driving a truck with the player platoon in. You drive along and get ambushed i have a 50 cal that shots at you and u see the tracers coming towards you and hiting the window and when you get to close the window brakes Very nice but seems that player platoon cant shot in a truck

  7. Im doing a mission where the player platoon is being transported form point A to point B along the way you get ambushed. It was working fine till i got a enemy in my sites and when to pull the trigger nothign happened. I was in passager seat. I switch to a team mate in back go to shoot and nothing. Is there a way to make it that player platoon can shot from the back or passgaer seat of the truck?

  8. I would have to say my favorite tank on GR is the moble howitzer. Why because wen it is destroyed it starts on flames and u can hear the people burning to death. The others just sit there.

    i was wondering is there a way for someone to edit a tank to

    A. If it on the side it puts a hole in the side of the tank (you can see into.}

    B. Blow the turret square off the base and have it land somewhere else.

    C. Blow a tread right off.

    any of them possible or made. If possible but not made anyone want to make one. (ill give you credit of course)

  9. just like to put my 2 cents in. maybe if actor is wounded you can than script to kill that actor to go in observation mode. Because if a guy is with no weapon kit and he can still run around he can find an enemy the enemy shoots him on accident and gives his location away because the shot can be heard from a distance.

    how do i no when to force them? is there somethign tht will be like under heavey fire the player platoon has?

  11. i was testing a part of my mod out and a friendly soilder was shooting a 50 cal MG when i noticed that all the enemy soilders would croch down and run and be hit or the would go prone and stay there is there away to make them crawl when they get pinned down like that.

    i dont want to use a zone where they will change plans and crawl i want them to do it on there own. any way to make them?

  12. Maybe have a page that shows newbies to the game how to change their name from default to somethign else, how to join games and how to see what mods are activated on the games, why not to use support on multiplayer.

  13. lol, ghost recon gave us a short range training i want a long range one.

    training range in a map? lol why dont u put a mcdonalds on your map to. Training range would be cool in a map will it be indoor or out door?

  14. basic

    1 side of map 1 building with 4 rooms conected in a stright line with 1 wall open facing the other side of the map. A little a no body can cross part to get on the shoting range. flat map away from building if u want an add trees grass bunkers buildings and signs that mark off the distance 50 meters 100 meters 150 meters and 200 meters. the flat land needs to be able to hold actors.

    the building u need to stand in doesnt have to be very detailed nothing in it needs to hold at least 1 person with room to move alittle and go prone. like size of the training map zone to get weapons.

    anyone willing to make it probaly wont take that long

  15. 2. it will only cover to what degree i dont know.........i guess we are about to find out............but this will all have to go hand in hand with the map  the layer ranges and spoting distance + the additional math........and i think the math will take me a sec............we are now processing three numbers and all are in hundreds range.......and they would (not sure yet) alter their values  faster than the range values.........and range values faster than spoting dist.

    and then im not sure yet which one to use to stop the process.....

    with the spoting distance can i have it diffrent for each actor like i want my snipers to be able to decet u farther away that others because of the scope on the gun and have riflemen detect u at a diffrent distance.

  16. If you want a really accurate sniper you will have to edit the atr. Open the sniper's .atr file and find the atribute for weapons and set that to a high number like 20 or so. For the mission if you want to have the sniper stay in position put a defence station with number 1 priority and he should stay in his spot. In his plan combat roe suppress movement at all cost and alertness combat and that should do it for you.

    Open the .atr with notepad or wordpad.

    u might want to start lower number than 20 when u get high numbers they act wierd.

    I have all my actors in the mod that are enemy with statsof 8 for each.

    Im not sure if anyone has this but if i take a sniper and put him on assult for combat oe he wont shot you right away all the time but he does seem to have better aim. Supress they fire alot of bullets in a give direction. They dont aim than. With assault they aim better.

    u can edit atr in notepad? i been using actor editor
