    will not run with ds disk in either...have tried to re-install the [Thing that should not be spoken of here IAW Forum Rule 3.7] patch .exe . Like you said it won't work. why? and i thought you were able to use these for preservation of original disks?(if u were refering to me with the warez??) :(

    Also, i have a friend in exactly the same pos. cause we thought we would upgrade with these new patches..cause we can't play in the general lobby anymore(cause everyone is runnin 1.4) Anyway,, i haven't gone to extremes like he has,because i believe it may be a simple fix, but he has completely erased GR off his system(losing all saved game info) and reinstalled.It works fine with cd in, then when we try to put [Thing that should not be spoken of here IAW Forum Rule 3.7] patch in the folder(as we did about 1.5yrs ago), it won't run anymore..just black screen .. we have both installed xp about 2 months ago(if this makes any diff??) :(

    I have original version of GR and DS. have been running both with moderator edit patch for ages...upgraded patch to 1.3 and 1.4 and installed to gr folder overwriting the original .exe ........now the game won't even start....please help....going crazy here :angry::o=

    As was stated in a later post, you can not mention the use of a [Thing that should not be spoken of here] on these forums.
