  1. LOL!

When I firt read the title of this thread I thought the movie industry was going to start putting their films on a new sort of media... whew!

Quite the collection you've got there.

  2. Recieved my new case and HSF today, "ahead" of schedule.

Initial reaction to HSF: "OMG it's a beast!"

    Initial reaction to case: "Sweeeeet."

The Gigabyte Rocket Pro is huge, yet weighs less than most of the other high end HSFs out there. It has copper heat pipes and an aluminum tube with a fan in the middle, plus a duct to move air over the mobo. It's currently got my 2500+ ---> 3200+ running at 36C, and it's extremely quiet. I could care less about idle temps, I want low load temps, and will post those later. Also, the four blue LEDs on it are a nice touch, but I'm still not sold on PC "rice."

The only down side to this piece of hardware is the installation method for a K7 processor. It's down right terrible, and if I try to explain it, I'll probaly make it sound better than what it really was. Bottom line, if you're a noob PC builder, dont buy this product.

As for the case, there isnt much to say, except I'm now only going to buy cases sporting 92mm and 120mm case fans. I'm sold. They push so much more air at a lower decibal rate, it blew me away. My PC is whisper quiet. (Remeber, I'm anal about noise.)

Installation had its issues. This was my second build, more or less. The case doesnt have a removable mobo tray, and it's also kind of cramped for space in there... however I did come from a full tower case, so I'm probably a tad bit biased. My only major complaint is the area for the PSU. There is a bar that the PSU sits on for added support, but it's not low enough. I had to start over the installation process to put in the PSU first, whereas I like to do that last. Still, I would recommend this case to anyone.

Now, I just need to find the right PSU with modular capabilities and I'll be all set.

  3. firefly, I was on a cruise to three destinations in Alaska two years ago. LOVED EVERY FREAKIN SECOND OF IT. I would go back before I went anywhere else. I believe, and sorry for the spelling, the three towns were:

Ketchikan - The best of the three!

Skagway - Smaller than my school.

    Juneau - Pretty good.

Royal Carribean was the cruise line... awesome.
