Talk about it on this past Sunday it crashed 4 times while I was working on the network. But hey if it works then heck I would keep it too. But 98SE us the worst I cant believe that OS made it to the streets.

But I do have DDR memory in my gfx card. I am 100% sure of it. It states all over the place 64MB DDR Memory and I know it does there just isn't really a possibility of it not. That is how the 440 SE is. Is RivaTuner wrong or am I misinterpreting the data?

actually i was just playing several maps today and i checked my f/r and it was up around 75-80. lol my bad. lol, I was thinking something was off. My 440 will do for now as I mentioned in other topics. But you are gonna proly want a card that will last you awhile. I plan on upgrading not too far off so I went with the 440.

Based on what results (that comes off as rude but dont take it that way)? Were all the same users present with same connections? What is the connection of dedi servers?

That is odd Hotdog cause my FPS never drop below 60 or 61 in every map far as I can remember. That is why I had thought it was a bottleneck somewhere. That is kinda strange.

Are all your mods deactivated? I couldn't get into the game it would just crash when I had one of my mods activated in it. I dont know how but itis fixed.

Hey Ruin, depening on the 440 or 440SE mine had 64MB DDR RAM. The 4200 is more expensive but will last you longer. Do you have an open AGP slot? I didn't and had to go with PCI but I like my card a lot. Besides saving loads of cash my card (maybe not as well) but it can handle every game I have on my system fine at full settings except RalliSport Challenge which is a beast of a game. GR and its expan pax work great and there is no difference between 61FPS and 100FPS in GR that the eye can tell anyways. And that is with full settings and shadows. Hey Aggressor I too have no AGP slot Made me really mad. I went with a GeForce 4 MX440 SE from Asylum. Their tech support is great and the card is amazing too IMHO. There is a diff between the 440 and the 440 SE not exactly sure of al the specs but I know it costs more. I am happing and can get 61FPS on most maps now. It also has T&L support and can handle power needing games like RalliSport Challenge if you have more Q's post em.

If I take it to 10% more is there any chance of permanent damage? Yeah I remember my RAM incident. With lack of temp monitors anywhere but random numbers in most prgrms, BIOS temps of only CPU, and a HDD monitor that is hard to know. I think when I get my new case I will get something to put in one of the extra bays that has thermal detection on it cause I don't want to be stuck w/out my computer for 6 more weeks. That memory kicks mine rear end. There isn't much room nor do I think a fan can easily or at all for that fact be put on the card. The best I can do is a Slot fan near the heat sinks. Would you just not OC then in my sit? If I OC'd too much and it froze my box do I just go into XP as last working config? Thanks WK

I have a BFI Asylum GeForce4 MX440SE. Nothing super nor horrible. It has a large HS on its ?GPU? and 2 more on each set of what I believe is its Ram. It is at 250MHz core clock and 166.5 memory clock according to RivaTuner. There is lots of airflow in the upper parts of the case but little by the pci slots cept the slot fan which because of little allowance in PCI slots is above the PCI cards. The Intake is much less than the Exhaust too. How far can I OC it safely? When I get my new case there will be much more room and 2 exhaust and 2 intake all 80mm. Yeah 9Gb is crazy I am dropping back to 600MB ish thanks guys. Edit-I can only choose 200MB -1096 in XP home. I can go up to 9160 but that is the closest to 600MB so I am going with 1,096MB.

I just dlaoded DX9 and was setting up a sys restore point then noticed it was at 9,160 MB! DX9 is installed and works great I love it. How much space do I really need for sys restore point? 9 GB seems like a lil much.
