The fans asked for more. We wanted more options, more modability, more challenging environments - most people asked for the same size team or larger. To truly improve upon a game, the sequel should offer more. Now so far I see a game that offers less: simplified gameplay, smaller team, limited kit options again. Granted this is the Xbox version, but remember the PC game will be modelled on this engine and gamplay philosophy. Are they going to put out two radically different games with the same title? I hope so, but that would be the first time it has ever been done. If the give the

Okay sounds like a pretty accessible game. The only thing I didn't like about OFP was the graphics, but I can see that they are better in this game (of course OFP was in development from 1998-2002 and suffered numerous delays but no engine update.) So I'm very interested, but it's a lot of money and I won't have a lot of gaming time in the future so before I plop it down I want to know really, how many hours I'll get out of this: How may built in SP missions? How quick is it to create your own, relatively uncomplicated mission using existing maps and skins? What is the basic proce

(This is the review posted at Gigex. As the level headed disseminator your small avian friend will read between the lines...after all I'm the only one here who can get his eyes close enogh to the screen without his beak getting in the way) Up until Ubi's Rainbow Six landed on the Xbox, Ghost Recon was widely recognized as the defining online tactical shooter for Xbox Live. Well Ubi is ready to get gamers back into life as a ghost with the revamped Ghost Recon 2. The first thing you'll notice about the game is that the viewing aspect has been shifted from first person to third person w

From a guy who actually can spare the dough (although the time factor may be a deal-clincher because I might be canging Jobs and moving again) I have some questions: Does it come with pre made scenarios? Looks designed to be modded according to user needs - what does it take to make your own mission? Does it have a good variety of settings / skinpacks? Which of those many disks are the actual 'starter pack' and how much does it cost? I presume you can enter as a first person avatar? How do you control / order your unit? Is it accessible as a game? Can you install and pl

While I disagree with prank calls in principle - this is too damn funny!

Interesting to note the right wing radio host Michael Savage has a link to the 'full video' on his site. I don't know if it's complete because I haven't seen it. Although IMO it is tatseless to post the link he at least provides a warning (with questionable grammar): THE FOLLOWING VIDEO IS EXTREMELY GRAPHIC. HOWEVER, WE FEEL IT IS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE IT TO YOU IN ORDER TO SHOW YOU WHO THE ENEMY REALLY IS AND WHAT THEY ARE CAPABLE OF.

If you had the juice to run the fantastic graphics, it would be worth buying for the first half of the game. Those early levels are really great. But with your hardware, you're going to miss a lot of the only real reason to play the game - the beautiful environments that you can move around freely in. Towards the end , with the settings you'll need to run it on, you'll think your just playing Quake III. Save your cash and update your machine instead.

Nice ass.

Well I finally finished the game and the end was disappointing. There was some cheesy voice acting and it was really hard (I only played on level 2 out of 5!) Basically I stand by what I said - the early levels with islands and beaches and jungles are a real blast. You get freedom of movement, beautiful scenery and the breathing space to solve problems creatively. But the last few levels are mostly indoors. They throw traditional 'level bosses' at you and try to overwhelm you with numbers and firepower. It becomes the classic case of die, reload, try to get luckier next time, try to

OMG this is the game I've been waiting for all these years. Must have now!!!!

I once made a fool of Carradine. It was on a set in Tahiti. he was having breakfast (you know he likes his eggs soft...) and I landed on the table, started pecking at the toast crumbs. The loser tries to shoo me away. I thought C'mon it's just a couple of crumbs. Dude's a millionaire, he won't miss them. So I bit him on the finger and he got really mad: Then Dave stands up and 'assumes the position'. One of the extras told him to pull his pants up, so he does and gets in a Karate stance. then he starts whooping and hollering and waving his hands in the air like Hong Kong Phooey.

I think humans can be driven to extreme acts of anger but you have to be a psycho in the first place to cut a guy's head off on film. Conflict for whatever reason naturally spills over into violence (it takes restraint to avoid that) but there are also IMO acceptable limits to violence in a civilised society. Remember terrorist outfits like al Qaeda don't just attract revolutionaries and malcontents. Sociopaths also adopt the ideology in order to have an outlet for their murderous impulses. That's the kind of guy I think Zarqawi is after this news about the video.

I've left my girlfriend. Now the PC can satisfy all my needs: Playboy Mansion Game .

I like the M4s too. What happened to that HK modified M4 that the SF guys are testing and said it works better? That would probably be a cheaper option than a whole new gun, wouldn't it?

Of course we're not stealing the resoucres. But the oil money that Arab regimes get from the West supports them and most of their people don't see a dime of that money. Instead they find it spent on enriching the ruling classes and disenfranchising them to keep these classes in power. Couple that with examples of Western bases such as in Saudi Arabia and Turkey, support for Israel and the aggressive marketing of Western goods and pop culture, and a lot of strict Muslims turn to extremism. They see it as deep ineterference at all levels and a threat to their values as well as their own

Actually if the West stayed out of the Middle East, I doubt Islamic terrorists would attack us just for having different beliefs and freedom. It made a good post 9/11 speech when Bush said it and it is true they despise our way of life as much as they envy it. But as long as we continue to prop up dictatorships in order to drain Arab-owned resources, they'll hate us. Bear in mind that absent the invasion of Iraq that caused the Abu Ghraib (spelling?) humiliation which enraged an already crazed bunch of militants, Berg would probably be alive today. His family have come out and openly bla

I'm near the end of FC now and it's getting dull/repetitive. Not looking foirward to slogging it all the way to whatever uber-level-boss-thingy they'll have wating for me at the end. In all I'd say we have an outdoor modern weapons version of Return To Castle Wolfenstein here. Fun at the start but repetetive after a while. Story's practically the same too if substitute science for witchcraft...
