  1. I was talking about the enemy kits. And if you were I wouldn't like to go in there. But the enemies IMHO should have nades and be allowed to use them. It puts a little more chaos into the mission. :support::snipe:

  2. That may be the reason GR2 is not out yet. If you take a look at GR you start to notice that everything was scaled back to lower minimum specs. Everything from the weapons to the chrs. GR2 will have to step up in the graphics but IMO it doesn't need to get out of hand where you need a 3Ghz processor to play the thing on low settings. Just a small upgrade in graphics will do for me. Since you take a look at COD and games like that and compare them to GR they have much better graphics but look at the one with the best gameplay. Also the cut back in graphics allows the game to be a little more realistic since a man in camo is hard to see but when there are mods out there with 15x zoom on there assault rifles that makes realism hard. If there was a sharper image for the chrs then they would stick out. And if anyone has ever seen some thick woodlands the lines breakup. Although they don't really do this except for certain areas of some maps the cut back in quality allows for more of a blended look.

  3. Well for the good urban warfare you need multiple attacks. If you know that the player's platoon will be in a specific spot ambush them from several directions. If you need to have one team set in behind something like a wall or car and then have a few teams attack from the left, right, or behind. Or just have them come from the front. Improvise and have random plans or just do plans for certain things like it the player goes in a certain zone have a team come from one way but if they are in another zone have them go a different way. Team size is up to you but I use no less than 3 men to a team in urban warfare and ocassionally you might need less. But for the hardcore gamers put in 6 man teams. You won't be dissapointed with the rain of fire you will hear. When you get about 3 6 man teams attacking your position it sounds like hell.

Also use the kits. Have your guys with AK's and have guys with the RPK's. You will get great results that way. If you were to use just AK's that wouldn't be any fun.

  4. QUOTE (Matt03 @ Dec 3 2003, 01:19 )

Sometimes it is the gun that is bad and sometimes it is the shooter that is bad.

    You got that right!!!!!!!!

I know from personal experience about the shooter.

  5. In the script it should have something called tags. To create a new tag you need to click the drop down box and for this purpose select platoon ref.

Type in Player's Platoon or whatever suits you and click apply.

your new tag is created. Go back to the script and in your startup block (the one with startup as the trigger) add a response. Click the drop box and all the way towards the bottom it says variable set platoon. for the variable click the platoon ref you just made and for platoon click on the bottom edit button and it should have something in a drop box called Get player platoon or somethin like that. Click that and you have your player's platoon.

  6. I would say all out war means thousands of enemies and thousands of friendlies and hundred of vehicles on both sides. I think that may be too much for GR. Just a little though.

But you need to realize that there are different forms of war. Ranging from covert to direct.

  7. Does anybody have one or would like to make one for me. I am doing some missions based on SEAL missions and using the black hawk just doesn't seem like a great idea. I am looking for about 10 missions and the Sea Hawk would be featured in most of them if not all. I hope somebody can help me out.
