  1. People say they are against DAGRM. Some say who cares. Well to the ones who want DAGRM to get out of the GR community as if they are actually involved in it. This is the type of thing we need to get rid of their ways. Because I am am just a mission modder. But I know that the guys who model characters and weapons and maps put a lot of time in it. They sacrafice their time that they could spend with their family or friends. And with the hipocritical community I don't see why. People don't like stolen mods but when a person tries to combat that people jump all over them. And when the modders who have spent hours and months and sometimes over a year making mods say that they are tired of people just stealing their material people don't care. They just want to know when the next mod comes out. It is time to stand up to DA and tell them that we don't want your crap. And if you do want it then that is fine too. But don't get mad when people steal from someone and that person gets mad.

The time for all the arguing is over. It is time to take some action.

Don't delete or lock this topic just because I said some things that might make some people mad in this topic. But I really don't care if someone gets mad because I don't like people using DAGRM. It is not jealousy. I am mad that people use it because some of them come in here and defend someone who steals. They say that DA is advancing GR. He is not advancing GR. If he was advancing the game he would be out there making new material. Making new maps, making new weapons, making new characters, and making GR a fresh experience. But most of the people who come in here and defend the mod and the man have never spent one minute making a mod. I don't expect them to understand the sacrafice the real modders make but I do expect them to understand that they do this because they want people to have fun with the material they create. DA only wants get popular with his stolen mod material and unrealistic mod.

Moderators, please have Rocky check this before you delete it. If you feel like it needs to be deleted.

  2. Now that I have more time over here I will give you the information in case you didn't get it.

If you are interested please send me an E-mail to mattanderson84@msn.com

    Include:

    Your name

    Your age

Information about your schedule and other things that may be useful.

Please also include a mission either in a zipped or rar file.

Make sure that there is a title on the E-mail. I will not open any mail if it doesn't have DYNACOMP application (mission included) or something to that effect.

Any level of scripting experience. I will look at all applications no matter what. I will respond to everyone I receive. Once the positions are filled I will still consider applicants but you will be less likely to get in.

I hope to hear from you.

  3. Since this topic looks like it is on its way to deletion I think I will get my two cents in.

The program doesn't delete the mods without the users permission. If the user doesn't want to delete the mods in question then the user will not be allowed to go forth with the use of DM's app. It is simple.

The mod gives you a choice. It doesn't say just because you downloaded this means that you have to use this and not that. You have a choice. It is up to you on what you are going to do. If there were no choice and it deletes mods with no question asked then there would be a problem. But IIRC, DM's app does prompt the user before deleting any mods. And just because one person had a problem doesn't mean the community should believe everything they read. You may or may not believe this post but I will put my reputation out there and stick up for DM. He is a good modder and he has been backed up by a credible source. This is not censorship or any form of forced action. You have your choice. If you like stolen mods then keep playing them. If you don't you won't have a problem. Maybe a list of targeted mods would help the community out so people who don't want to get rid of their mods will stay away from DM's applications.

  4. If you have hostages being guarded by enemies then you will have to either put them to captive or set them as hostage and use the invisivble response. Then you still might need to hide the actor on the command map.

    QUOTE (Matt03 @ Feb 24 2004, 17:22 )

Plus I don't think he will show up on the command map.

no, he will show on the command map if he is "only" a hostage

That is why I said set him to captive. If the actor has no weapons the enemies shouldn't shoot them.

  5. It happens to me. Maybe just if the actor has noweapon.kit and he is captive and allied. Mission 2 in GR does it. Because as soon as all the guys in the barn or house are dead the pilots show up. They don't show the actors with the script either.

  6. If you do it that way the truck must be in one location. This works better when you won't have the truck in one location. If the truck was in one spot then that would work fine. But I think in this case the truck will be on the move and the player must stop the truck before the info can be found.

  7. With these settings I have been able to run respectable times compared to 100% AI. Only two tracks I have run at are Texas and The Rock. My best time at Texas is now 191 MPH and at Rockingham my fastest lap is 151 MPH. So I am closing in on the big prize. Thanks for the setups. Maybe when I get better I might join some of ya'll online.
