Hi Sidd, glad to hear from you. I have tried to play this game but it seems more like call of duty, just running around following yourself instead of seeing from your own body, and can't get any enjoyment out of it. I did buy it at a big discount, so look for that if you are considering buying it. Graw2 has purged a lot of its servers and also the RAS server we played looks like has moved to UK, which is a bummer with its lag time for me. Have a good one and hope to see you on RAS... Tom1935

I still play RAS and lag is not a problem as long as you are on the USA server. Lag is dependent on where the server is in relation to the player and how good the players system, i.e. speed of the modem and connection. My system is very good and has the lowest ping on the RAS server and usually stays that way. They went off line for a while to fix problems or improve their setup, I don't know, except everyone went to the "UK" RAS server and ping was high for me. When the USA server came back online, my ping was ok, (reading below 100, usually around 80). If your lag is bad, just fix it with a better system or search for a server that is located closer to you.... Just my thoughts as to whether to play the game or not.... I say, YES, it is fun, and as said before, "RAS" tries to keep cheaters down and especially, keeps the language clean and kicks cheaters when they are found. Tom1935 (online "tmfrex")

Thanks Rocky, there is probably nothing you can do about some cheaters, just try and keep them out of the game, which is hard. The folks at RAS trust me when I call someone out because I don't do it unless I am 100% sure and they will kick the individual. Since I started playing, the game has changed for the better. I used the sniper m99 all the time, got pretty good at it and actually feel I change the way others play because they knew I was lurking around. At first they fussed at me and called me the normal names, but now there are a lot of players using the m99. Other good players suggested to me to try the mrc more often, which I have and seem to enjoy the game with a little more versitility. I enjoy playing graw2 multiplayer. There is one server "RAS" that is busy all the time and sometimes hard to get on. There are a few others that have a small number of players present. Most of the time when RAS is running a game portion that a lot of people don't like, they go to the other servers but return when RAS start other game portions. This server probably have a few cheaters, but finally got to the point I just ignore them and enjoy playing. There are a lot of good players that befriend you and also work hard to kick cheaters. Detecting them is hard but their efforts pay off in the long run. They also don't allow foul language. Go ahead and install and just look for RAS server, you won't be disappointed. Also, play other servers if you can. They are not watched as much as the admin. on RAS so you do have more cheaters. I think Rahnman or Cybersid can advise you better than me, because they are the experts and have helped me a lot when I first started playing. Have fun... Tom1935

Here we are now, approaching 27000 views. Just wanted to let you know that my game has improved some and I do compete with most of the players, just cannot compete with the better ones, like Rahnman and Cybercyd. I am now using the mrc weapon more, not using the m99 as much, except in certain circumstances. I still don't have answers to those players that kill with one shot using the mrc from any place and distance. There are regular players that do this and I am certain they have some kind of assistance. There are a few players that are really good but they don't kill me with "one shot" all the time, they are just better at making shots normally. Some times I kill with one shot, just happen to get the gun in the right place. Sometime, I will call out those continuous "one shot" people by saying "Who needs aimbot when you can shoot like that!!!". Kinda having fun with them.. Anyway, glad to see that you are still reading this posting, hope your getting something out of it. To maximize getting something out of this post, you need to read all of them, I have gotten a lot of help from a lot of individuals and made friends with some Have a great day and keep on enjoying this great game. I have been playing call of duty, all their games and also all of ghost recon games. My preferences has been far above call of duty because I like the concept of ghost recon. I have been playing all of ghost recon games for years (not multiplayer) and was looking forward for years, expecting the latest game to come out, but never did. Finally when it did, I was looking for a fantastic game, as you say, going by advertisements. I began see all the negative views and waited until now and was able to purchase it a lot less that the full price. Glad I waited to buy. I just started playing the game and really disappointed in it, maybe that will change, but don't think so. So far, this looks like a bad call of duty game with run and shoot and no control over the ghost team. I had fun with their games where I had control over the team and there was a lot of challenges trying to outwit the programmers. Maybe we need a ghost recon like the old again but better???Tom 1935 ....p.s. maybe start over with the first ghost recon and work my back to the ghost recon2///

Don't know what to say, I'll just keep playing the game and try and get some good out of it. I have not been in the conversation long and may not have a good feel as to what's bitching or what's real. There are a few people on this forum that I do respect (John, Rahn, and Sidd). I'll hold judgment until I have a chance to play the game more. So far, I don't like it, maybe because its so different from other Ghost Recon games. I know my two cents worth doesn't sound as professional as others but should be worth at least what I've put into it...Tom1935

Finished downloading the game. Played a little of it last night and don't like it at all. I got confused which guy I was controlling!!! I definitely don't like playing looking at myself, I'd rather be inside the body looking out just like earlier versions of the game. Welllll, here I am waiting for a download from steam, gonna take days!! I have been waiting for this game for a couple of years. Didn't buy until I could see some comments and getting plenty here that should have given me fair warning. Ok, lets see, I will let you know how I feel and hoping you guys and gals are just spoiled and bitching and not really giving me a good picture. I'll do that as soon as this darn download finishes!!! I have been playing ghost recon for years, and only the last couple of years got into the multiplayer part and enjoy that a lot. The server I play on most of the time is set where you can't kill a team mate. I have been on a server that worked like you say, that server was not very popular and most of the players were all cheaters, I just stopped playing there. The one I play on tries to keep cheating down, but, as you know, that sometimes is hard to detect. I just leave the server when it has a player that has an unusual large amount of kills and suspect they are using aimbot. I do enjoy playing the game tho I haven't developed the skills to be as good as the top players. Most of the time, I am in the middle as far as kills go...Thanks for you input...

I was getting interested now in getting GRFS but after reading most comments on this game, I don't know what to do. I would think that their representatives would take part in the discussions so that I could get different views. After "farallon" your mission is to tag a missle so that our pilot can bomb it. While inside the silo and after tagging it, is it possible to escape without getting killed? I have tried several times, trying to remember how I got in but have failed everytime. Anyone know the answer to this? I know this discussion is about "farallon", but hoping someone had an answer to this since it follows successful mission of "farallon". Regards, Tom1935

There was a person who you never see, this occurred consistently throughout several games. I decided to follow him (did not use deathcam), running behind him. He was constantly on the run and not stopping but all this time, he was shooting. My understanding was that you had to stop in order to shoot. Is there a gun selection where you don't have to stop? I believe he picked up on the fact that I was following him and stopped running and got up on top of a hill (legally) and just single shot at things, very seldom hitting anyone. His kill count was very high the first half of the game but the second half when I was following him, he got a very low kill count. The first half, his count was almost 40 around 38, when he finished the second half, his count was just above 40... I know that 1/2 half of a game may be easier to kill than the other, don't think this was the reason, he just stood there on top of the hill exposed doing single shots and was getting shot also. hummmmmmm Tom1935

Rahn, I was on "TAW" again, and there seemed to be another player that you couldn't see. I ask all the other players if they could see him and got no reply. As soon as I ask that question, he began to appear and I could fight with him. Shortly after that, he left the game. While I was playing, one of the other players started climbling up tall mountains. When I mentioned this to him, he said that was the only way he could beat that person you couldnt see. I reminded him that cheating was not the answer, that only runs people off if nobody can compete. Seems if "TAW" wants this server to survive, they need to somehow have someone periodically watch players. Players started bailing out and I was the only one left. The server will not survive unless they try and get rid of cheaters. They seem to migrate to this server knowing they could have their fun cheating without consiquences. Just thought I would express my concerns that "TAW" will never build up without a lot of efforts to get rid of cheaters. I feel that "RAS" has worked really hard to get rid of cheaters. Now, when cheaters show up, a lot of players will point them out and "RAS" warns them. Seems to work. Tom1935

CJo1964,, did I get your name right? \\ Anyway, thanks for your comments. I don't know if you can say I"m new at this, I started playing tdm a couple years ago. I immediately started this thread on cheaters vs non-cheaters, mainly because I could not visualize guy/girls playing and shooting that rapidly as I have explained above. Since I started this, I have notice a lot of changes on the servers where they really are trying to cut down on cheating, which is what I was lookingfor. I knew talking about this would help. You are correct that I need to continue working on my tactics and confrontations. One of my main problems is what I call "lazy gun" where I don't keep my gun pointing towards where I am going, I tend to let it kinda point towards the ground or point where I am not looking. There are a lot of things like this that can be improved upon. There are a lot of very good players and I think I can separate them out from those that are very good at killings but are cheating somehow. This is why I want conversations from guys like you to understand the main problem I am having with that instant killing, which helps me to better separate the cheaters vs. the non-cheaters. I will work on getting better and keep on playing. I have played the coop games some but seem to enjoy playing tdm stuff better.
