I have an Audigy 2 ZS Gamer card and whether on medium or high sound settings, I get the following problems: 1. Sometime my sound stops working, no sound at all, until I hit ESC and change sounds from high to med or med to high to get them to work again. 2. Sometimes I will shoot and no sound comes out? then it will start making noise again. This usually happens when on full auto. 3. It is very hard to distinguish between close sounds and far away sounds, they all sound alike. 4. My speakers will pop frequently throughout the game, I have very good 5.1 speakers and this is the on

Yeah, we NEED the ability to change weapons with keypresses, not with the scroll wheel. Weps should be assignable.

the GRAW skin is too hard to read, the black on medium blue is hard to see

1. Get rid of the chat window, it clutters the screen. Chat should be like in [GR], no windows. 2. Make the peak an optional toggle just like the scope toggle is optional. 3. Make tracers once every 3 shots instead of every shot. Its not realistic and it looks like were using laser guns. 4. Fix the gamespy create account bugs, you have to hit enter after typing or it won't recognize that you entered any text. 5. Add forested/rural maps and team LMS. 6. Give us binoculars with a 10x zoom. The Red dots aren't enough. 7. Give us some more sniper rifles, such as the M14, M107, and oh yeah t

Multiplayer hosting kb per player upband
HighGround replied to viiiper's topic in GR:AW (PC) - Tech Support
I believe I read somewhere that the upload requirement was 128kbps per client. So a 1mbps upload would host a 10 person server without lag. Those are kilobits not kilobytes. To host a 32 man server you'd need 4096kbps or 4mbps upload which is 500Kilobytes upload. GRAW Ports to open on your router to host online - taken from the README: UDP 13139 UDP 15250 UDP 27900-27901 UDP 29910 TCP 80 TCP 6667 TCP 28910 TCP 29900-29901 TCP 29920 TeamSpeak 2 server port to open: UDP 8767 -
Did GRIN really give up on the forums or are they browsing as guests? Has anyone seen one log in?

Domination mode is run and gun. I felt like I was playing America's Army or Blackhawk Down. Didn't feel like [GR] at all. The map hurts my eyes to look at, it's so small, and there's no way to make it bigger. And those jagged edges.... I hate them.

Any way to patch the game and add AA?
HighGround replied to HighGround's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
I agree. I'm sure most of us can't even tell the difference between deferred lighting and bloom, the lighting in [GR] was fine with me, who pays attention to lighting?? The jaggies tho, are EVERYWHERE and it is sickening. Death to jaggies! -
1. Anti-Aliasing 2. Add an option for toggle/no toggle on peak 3. Binoculars 4. Get rid of the chat window at the top, just get rid of it, chat should be just like in [GR] 5. Rural/outdoor maps 6. More sniper rifles both in .308 and in .50 7. Guille suits for the outdoor maps 8. A body hit indicator to let us know where we've been shot (so when we're shot 5 times, we can say, oh, all 5 were in the arm/leg, no vitals) 9. Blood on bodies - both Players and AI, to show where we/they've been hit.

Is is possible for GRIN to patch GRAW and remove the special lighting that disables Anti-Aliasing? I play the game with the shadows and dynamic lighting turned off so I wouldn't notice it anyway. However, I really do notice the jagged edges on everything and it drives me nuts, I won't even play [GR] without AA on. I can't see myself playing GRAW very long if it does not have AA, the terrain is just too horrific without it. GRIN, anyway you can patch the game and give us Anti-Aliasing? I personally don't care about the special lighting and am sure most if not all of us would gladly trad

I agree with Profile, the lean needs to be the same as it was in GR1, I do NOT like the lean toggle. I also want to see GRIN get rid of "every bullet is a tracer". Tracers are every 3 rounds, not every round, I feel like I have a laser gun. Shooting my rifle, the sounds are distant instead of loud, it sounds like my rifle is 10 feet in front of me. Playing COOP multiplayer, your name doesn't show up when you put your ret over your teamate, it shows a orange/blue diamond and highlights their name on the player menu thing (which I also don't like) How come the player menu only shows a

I agree. I hate scrolling through for my weapons, I want to be able to assign a button for weapon switching like GR1.

The power of the SCAR H and SCAR L are not noticeable. Enemy AI can see you, no matter how sneaky you are. 1 shot center mass with any rifle except the 50 will knock the bad guy down but they always get back up?? I've been shot upward of 6 times before I've been killed?? What kinda body armor am I wearing? Most all body armor cannot protect against 5.56 x 45 under 100m. Maybe I been getting shot in the arms and legs? It would be nice to have the body hit display back so I know where I've been hit.

It's here! Multiplayer matching with GR1 died off soon after the news about the GR2 PC cancellation. Sure there's still those of us who play once in a while, but nothing like it used to be. But since then me and my team have been anxiously waiting for the next GR. I'd like to thank GRIN for their time and committment in the GR3 project. I feel that the GR community almost owes an apology for the pressure we've put on UBI and GRIN to get this game out before it was finished. GRAW has potential, but it doesn't feel like GR1, it feels like a different game. I really like the weapons, and how

GR1 gore level was just p e r f e c t !! Never saw anything so realistic i another game. ← Impacts are there. But no "GORE". As I said earlier no entrails spilling to the ground from shrapnel hits, no arms being blown off, no long agony screams or heads being torn off. No boiling, sizzling or blood pools spilling from dead bodies. I see no need for that. ← So does this mean that you will see realistic blood impacts when someone is shot AND see the blood stain on their camo (like GR1 - you could see where they were shot) or will there just be blood impacts? I can live w

Sounds like it's time to do some fishin.

First I want to know where the guy was shot, you CAN take 2 or 3 hits to an arm or leg or even to a non-vital area of the torso, but was he shot in his body armor? Was he in god mode? Where was he shot?

Got 2 IMPORTANT questions for GRIN
HighGround replied to HighGround's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
No blood would stink, I don't want to shoot someone and see dust like in SOAF, I want to see blood. We don't need SOF2 gore levels, but GR1 gore would be nice. I mean blood is realistic, I don't need to see pools of blood on the ground, cuz that's not always the case, but bodies should bleed when hit, this isn't a kiddie game GR1 was rated M, because of the blood? GR1 wasn't even that gory, I hope that GRAW has realistic blood splatter and bloodstains on clothing else I hope someone makes a good blood mod soon after release. -
Ok, so they're not REAL important. Q1: In GRAW, will there be blood on your person in the area you were shot like in GR1? In GR1 if I shot someone in the lower back, you would see blood in the lower back area, or if shot in the arm, there would be blood on the arm. Is this also the case for GRAW? Q2: In GR1 it was possible to kill 2 people with 1 shot if they were close enough, will GRAW feature overpenetration like GR1 did? Thanks.

One word.... DEMO

I just wanted to say that WLG is a pretty good ladder to be on, it was with GR, they just got a late start. With TCZ being full of immature admins who blatanly flame their members, I highly recommend WLG for GRAW PC. May 5th baby!

HighGround replied to HighGround's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
One quick question, will Bipods be a mod for Sniper rifles and Auto rifles like the SAW? If not at release, perhaps in an expansion? I was thinking increased accuracy/stability while prone, increased weight, decreased accuracy while kneeling/standing. Yeah I know, give us a crumb and we want the cracker! -

Thanks Bo for the response. As a GR-starved PC gamer, I'm happy with any info I can get. Keep up the good work! -

Colin, the M9 was mentioned in my original post (part 2) which you deleted. Perhaps you thought I was hijacking my own thread and didn't look to see that the author of the second post was me, the original poster. Also, the "In short...." was not the summary of my entire post, it was the summary of question #3. No worries. I edited my original post and summarized my questions there as to avoid any further confusion on the matter. I should have done that to begin with. Sorry.
