  1. I hate to kick this dead horse, but are the briefings and in-mission text only in German? This mod looks great, but I can't play them if I can't read the briefings, objectives, or anything else.
  2. Yeah, when selecting kits. In game it slows em up.
  3. Fabulous, although some of the heavier modded weapons choke my system. Your optics & attachments really kick the polys up. Still, very good, love the Magpul and Crane stocks!
  4. Dropkick Murphys - Skinhead on the MBTA (live)
  5. I didn't. I took the actual pattern off of a real MK 23 picture, and used a fill pattern thing. I'm working on it, I was just lazy and didn't want to make it for real right then.
  6. No, too many polys for that, I think. I just realized I haven't checked the poly count on it. And as a follow up, here's the texture that is currently being worked on for it. Still very beta, and the product of about six hours in PS. With that, I would ask that in return for providing this, that you guys won't steal it. I trust you enough to put it up without a watermark, so have a look: Mk 23 Texture edit - There's a reason that it looks too clean . . . I forgot to reveal the layer with the scratches and smudges on it before I saved the picture. edit 2 - Mostly done
  7. I haven't been shot by a beanbag, but I have shot a shotgun loaded with one. They move pretty slow for a projectile, and I'm sure that they hurt, a lot. Does anyone know what the bags loaded with? I want to say steel BBs, but I'm not sure. One other thing about them, the recoil on those loads is considerably lighter then a combat load of buckshot or slugs. It was surprising to fire it and have a very light kick. edit - Found the answer myself:
  8. Another thing that was great was the grenade arc line. I love that so much, as you can accurately toss grenades through windows and doors. Nothing is more frustrating then lobbing a grenade at a window and having it bounce back in your face.
  9. Look at it this way, no matter where your head is relative to the optic, the direction the weapon is aimed is the same. With other optics, you have to look at it from the same angle to get an accurate sight picture, but with the eotech, the ret changes relative to your line of sight to the optic. At least that's the way I understand that it works.
  10. Exactly. Anyone that has a PS2 and has gamed SOCOM I or II (not just looked at web screens - woops, that is obviously less than half the posters in this thread) realize that the game looks surprisingly good and nothing like GR2 on the PS2. But as I said, that would be people that know first hand what they are talking about. ← Even though the game isn't spectacularly realistic, it's challenging and fun at the same time. I play the first mission in SOCOM II all the time, it's so much fun to see how far you can get without being seen. I was excited when I found out that you could kick
  11. When you're actually playing the game, unless you get right up in someone's face, you can't even tell that the graphics aren't hyper realistic. Frankly, I'd rather have a gritty look then a clean cut one like Far Cry's.
  12. Amazing difference for having a lower poly count on the 1911. Good work and good luck in the future. edit - I assume that most of those polys are in the cylinders that make up the stock, barrel, and light, correct?
  13. Well, guess what. My dad's an english teacher, so I'd say that we're pretty close. I think that I did a pretty good job of dropkicking your argument out of the stadium.
  14. I get this error when I try and start the game: I hate this computer
  15. What are you, an english major? Who cares to begin with, but that's not the point. Ding-ding, here comes the clue train, last stop is you. You can engage more then one person at a time.
  16. Fabulous 1911 swartsz. What version is it? Looks like stock, I made a Colt Gunsight pistol, but yours is better.
  17. Dead Kennedys - Nazi Punks ###### Off!
  18. Oxblood - Wanted Man (chorus is in my sig, great song)
  19. The slower paced gameplay was one of my favorite things about SWAT 3. Moving in the stealth clearing mode was tense, and still enjoyable. I just dled about 300 megs of mods for SWAT 3, and I love the game again. Dling the SP demo, can't wait to take down some suspects.
  20. That's an interesting take on things. Do you appreciate when people steal the answers off of a test of yours? Probably not, although it might not bother you at all. Just because it's not a physical thing you can hold onto doesn't mean that someone doesn't own it.
  21. Thats not possible unless you have 2 guns in each hand and then you'd have to be lucky, Because althought there maybe multiple targets you are engaging one at a time. ← That's exactly Argyll's point. It's faster and easier to shift aim onto a second target after the first one drops.
  22. The concept - Good The execution - So bad I cried from laughing so hard. The best part in the movie is when the "SF" team is taking down the little village thing, and one of the guys takes cover behind a donkey. Classic. Oh, and the music is awful, and seems like an 80s reject.
  23. Pretty nifty, but gets very boring after about a minute.
