Hey guys, if your thinking that "holiday" was short, then i'm only here to say a couple of things. I've been reading over alex's shoulder when she's been on here seeing if there's anything i could discuss and making sure she's behaving herself , there are a few topics, but i'd rather keep quiet. and i'd just like to say thanks for the kind goodbyes, and you are probably right, i may turn up one day and discuss a couple of topics. @operative, it is sad, but it happens unfortunately, and before long i can see CoD players going the same way also. @ spik@ i agree so let's call it packing up and checking out? and i can't remember that far, could you remind me please? Well you can do what you want with this, but just hear me out please and thank you. I'm not leaving because of this forum, this forum has been great over the past 18 months I've been here, yeah okay, we had a few hiccups but the forum is still great. So basically over these past few months, I've lost interest in the Ghost Recon series, and games all together. so i just don't see the point of lingering around on these forums any more if i can't really be interested in what's being discussed. so i just thought maybe it's time to pack up the account and go. Alex still likes this place and is still takes an interest in the future and past games, so please don't hold my lack of interest and contribution against her in any way. don't mean to be rude or anything if i come across that way, but hammer, please, i think Alex is perfectly capable of making wallpapers as per request. after all all requests on this thread should be regarding her wallpapers, no? i've PM'd you on the matter, and i'll be having a [small] word with john too.

just done a quick skim through of this topic, i've probably missed out some key info somewhere along the line, but at no point does it say that GR:Online is GRFS PC, as far as looking through the ubi forums, a ubi forum manager said that GR:Online IS NOT GRFS PC. so i don't know how many times people have to repeat themselves to reassure people these days. for apparently hopeful people (for GRFS PC) you aren't half pessimistic. honestly people have some faith! sorry that may have been seen as a rant, but was not and it's over now anyway. scalled a strong opinion. i do think that from a recent thread post here, GRFS actually has more of a standing chance of being released on the PC. all we can really do is sit, and wait, no amount of moaning will change Ubi's mind, i think the strive for a revamp of [GR] proves that point

be warned my critique is often seen as offensive on other sites, so please don't take offence as none is meant. right done a little mess around and one thing i immediately noticed, was the XM8 rifles they certainly werent there before, and they are a great touch. the second thing i came across was in the objectives screen, on mission loading. "no civilians casualties" will need to be amended. when the mission loaded i had a ###### about in the insertion zone. i've noticed you like the word ###### on the voice over where the crowd is, he say we just wanna get the hell outta here, and you put "get the ###### outta here" and dammit i think is another where you put ######. when moving into the UN dudes bit, the voice or message box did not appear until the second time i went into that area, after finding out what i was meant to do, not sure if anyone else picked up on that. and in agreement with wombat, the message box needs to be on for a little longer. when going into the Pilot area, without using the extract bit first. the message box displays even when an extract attempt wasn't made. so i got confused when the "pilots" weren't there. and i noticed an attempt to block it off with a "sniper" i was thinking perhaps have the chopper already crash and that's why the UN dudes are about? i love the re-equip idea, very original certainly a likeable original at that. the rest of them are in agreement with wombat's points overall though although it seems i am being negative here, it's a great mission certainly challenging and really well thought out, my attempts at making anything better would be useless and i am looking forward to what seems to be, more missions? i'm sure on another run i'll start to pick up on things i didn't before there's my take on it.

i shall have a play of it and get back to you. certainly seems interesting just reading the couple of features you have implemented. okay first thing i noticed, not sure if it's my computer, but as soon as i try and start the campaign, the game CTD and when i click a resume campaign for a standard ghost recon campaign, the game crashes again. this may need some verifacation from someone else. but that's what i got.

i am highly aware of these issues roco, and yes they are terrible problems, but positivity is good, hence why this thread was put up, FS on the wii looks terrible because the WII is terrible it's not going to secure the other console's (or PC) fate. delays arent always bad roco

seeing as this is series based i placed it here, i hope you dont mind any. Good morning/afternoon/evening/night Guys and gals hope we are all having a good morn- yeah you get the point recently i've been looking around the ghost recon facebook page and the ubi page and here. and people seem quite negative or dull about Ghost recon future soldier and to an extent, the advanced warfighter series seemed a bit of a sham too in some cases. yes okay to some extent i agree with the negatives but lets look at the POSITIVES of the franchise eh? Ghost Recon 1: Moddable to almost all extents replayable beyond replayable. tactical, no cross com fantasy stuff. avatar switching made life a little easier. the scenario was believable, not hollywood or any of that ###### Ghost recon 2 and summit strike: good graphics some great firefights the ragdoll physics were hilariously amusing. orders system was a me likey. and the ability to switch from first to 3rd person (Xbox) GR:AW graphics seemed rather ahead of it's time. massive playable environments. the PhysX usage was desired. the engine was quite good. the inclusion of UAV's and realtime insertions were great. the tactical map brings a SLIGHT Ghost recon 1 feel back to the game. GR:AW 2 the use of open environments was great. some amazing firefights. generally the same good things about GRAW. GRFS (visual) the new version seems special forces-ey the reintroduction of civilians! unique setting, not in the usual iraq, russia or afghanistan like other games well i say russia, it's still based there but you arent fighting overstrong accented english speaking russians with eyepatches Graphics look very nice. the story seems interesting they seem more like a "just get on with the job" lot rather than the AW serie's overdramatic characters. the soldiers seem like they are equals no "kozak is a big hero" lark. the characters are somewhat mysterious (we havent seen an ingame render of kozak's face yet as far as i know) it makes me want to see more. the models of the characters are precise. i think over the past few weeks, all these delays seem to be a good thing, as ubi actually seem to be trying hard with Ghost recon, despite the future crap. so there is really no point in getting impatient if the game is much better than what it would have been. it's more than what activision/treyarch are doing... anyway lets not get onto that. if you have anything to add or lightly dispute, feel free, a discussion is a discussion

sorry Apex, GREAT banner and i am REALLY pleased this one got the stamp but it wouldn’t be me without being picky, would it? in the downloads section, the part for the inside of the logo is showing on the outside slightly, at the bottom on the right hand side of the logo might want to check it out trust me i am picky with Alex and i have been picky with commander delta and one of his wallpapers before so I'm not picking on you or anything

i noticed that myself, some parts are visible where they werent before. not sure whether it's good or bad but i can see that during the resizing, the image inside the logo hasnt resized with it and you can see it's edge within the logo

screens do tend to do that when they or the GFX card is dying, i remember when my 8400GS was dying it did EXACTLY the same, but, that does seem funny Alex. as for me, the oddest problem i ever had was in that old Packard bell we had where the computer kept blue screening and no one had a sodding clue what it was about. when i went in to update the graphics i took the modem out and left it out and immediately we had no issue. not odd. just naive
