  2. DrG dont give up. And start with 2 rooms only. Go here http://members.lycos.co.uk/sansite/ or here {a malware infested website}/games/ghostrecon/tutorials/ and slowly go over tutorials. U'll learn all about portals, rooms, doors... Start with small stuff, not with 23 rooms (u mentioned that in other post). Good luck
  3. Keep in mind that somewhere around 15000 polygons in view is maximum. U can go higher but expect some lag in MP.

    pt portals are used where u dont want characters to pass over usually used on windows that r low to ground.

    It's probably not fully connected to room, must be some space somewhere between. Use snaps in max.
  7. Make sure all your textures r in rsb format and that they r in your map folder.

    From my expirience, it should work without shermans too.
  10. I had same problem with it. In edit UVWs window go to options>advanced options and try to uncheck (or check...cant remember at the moment) the "Tile bitmap" and "Affect Center Tile" options. It worked here.

  12. And also make sure that when u scatter objects, u set pivot point on bottom of the object where it should meet the ground.
  13. I made a quick tut for alpha channel render to test out camtasia (and cuz i'm too lazy to type http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/uploads/emoticons/default_tongue.png' alt=':P'> )and here u got tutorial for detail texture. U'll need a TSCC codec to view this.

  22. Welcome to GR.net phippsy012! If u want to design your own missions use IGOR. It's in your GR directory. Also first check out EL_OSO's IGOR for dummies http://eloso.3dretreat.com/itut/index.html and check GR.net modding forum and Platoon's forums http://forums.theplatoon.com/ . If u would like to create new levels (new maps), u will need 3D Studio Max version 3,4 or 5 (ver. 6 wont work with plugins). Also check out "Extras" folder on your Island Thunder CD where u will find plugins for Photoshop, 3DSM, Lighting Tool and a lot of help in *.pdf files. If u get stuck somewhere, ask here
