  1. Hi Rahn & Jack.

    Thanks for testing the mission.

These on screen messages are causing some problems in my missions since I started using the new animated props, the way these work is that they will stay on the screen until you press "X" there is no way to change it. This is fine when the props are not close together but in the bunker there are a few animated props so the messages get confusing.

I need to rework all the props for this mission, at the moment the only alternative is to use the same switch as I use for the "Hard" and "Ease" option at the start of the mission, this will always work fine but the downside is that the onscreen message will always be "Press x to activate alarm" this message is linked to the prop and cannot be changed, I think that is a price worth paying to get the mission working correctly.

I will still look for a fix for the current method but I'm not hopeful.

  2. Hi all,

Operation Arrowhead is now ready for testing.

Again this map is made up of custom buildings only, plus there are 11 new ones, see pics below.

    Custom sounds:

There are 71 custom sounds in the mission which includes, new ambient sounds and new sounds for props.

The sound mod is included with the download but if you have already installed it then you won't need it.

I would also like to thank Radiator for letting me use some of his sounds from the Blackhawk Down mission.

    New features:

There are many new features in this mission, you will find new barriers, doors and new overlays for the laptops, there are many more but I'm going to let you find these for yourself.

    Map name for dedicated servers:

    coop_tc02_operation_arrowhead_v1

    Have fun,

    John

  3. All I do is make these missions to cater for the majority, they ask for all these innovations in my maps so I do my best to deliver, it's not possible to please everyone.

On a side note, my Daughter (Sonia) has a mid to high range laptop and she doesn't get that many crashes when playing my missions, in fact I think I get more than she does but mine are usually weapon related.

  4. Thanks Franglen,

By all means report any broken links you may find but as you say please don't swamp me with them as I normally fix all broken links myself.

I've recently had my broadband upgraded from 10 to 70meg which make things a lot easier but finding loads of broken links in my inbox can be a bit daunting, lol!!

  5. Hi Franglen,

Thanks for reporting the broken links, it's nice to see people doing it correctly, both files have now been fixed.

I think it's human nature that when they see the option to comment on a download entry they don't look any further so don't see the report broken link option.

Using that feature will send an email to Rocky and myself so we know there is a link that needs fixing, we don't have the time (or the patience, lol!!) to go through the thousands of downloads to check all the comments.

  6. Just thought I should mention that you need to be aware of the poly count for these models, "cleaning" them up will dramatically increase the poly count for the model.

I'm not sure but I think the total poly count for the entire map in GR is around 20k, I'm sure that Tinker or someone can tell you for sure.

In GR:AW2 I like to keep the poly count as a low as possible to reduce lag so my buildings are lower than 7k poly's each, but I don't have the same restrictions as you do in GR, the poly count can be around 15k per model.

  7. Ok, thanks for that.

I will now unhide a post by Alex.....

well, this forum doesn't support cracks.

article 3.7 of the forum rules

[3.7] Warez : Links to warez sites or discussion of warez is not permitted. Breach of this rule can lead to legal proceedings against this site, and will not be tolerated. Software cracks that remove the "CD/DVD check" are against the Ubi Soft licensing agreement and are included in this rule - which is strictly enforced. Posts containing CD-keys and links to sites of CD-keys will be deleted.

so yes, no cracks and install leigitmately.

So with that in mind your ability to post here will be removed, followed shortly by a total ban from the forums.

    Thread locked.

  8. Hi Eric,

This is the first I have heard about this problem, no one has mentioned it before or during beta testing, I will take a good look at the first mission to see if there are any issues, probably won't get to it until the new year though.

The download you are using is the latest version so that is not the cause.

    I'll keep you posted.

    Thanks,

    John

  9. Hi Siveres,

    Welcome to the forums.

I'm suspecting that your system is struggling to cope with the resources needed to run the game.

First thing you can try is to lower (or turn off) the Physics settings, if that doesn't help try reducing the texture and Dynamic Shadows.

Lastly did you install the Physics drivers when you installed the game, these are needed for the game to run.
