You're just gonna have to get used to point and click if you you're gonna play GR 2, Brothers In Arms or Close Combat FTF, they all have the same squad system.

According to Christian Allen, there may be cows in the PC version....but they won't be driveable.

You are correct, it is the same as it was in GR.

In GR 2, there is a key to go from standing directly to a prone position. And you can climb obstacles like ledges,crates..

If the reason for the NDA is that the PC game has more distinct content and features than the consoles due to the power of the platform, that is a valid reason. If the reason for the delay is to refine those features, that's fine. If neither is true, not so fine.
The game is not going to be a bomb, it is going to be very good. That kind of hyperbole is totally off the mark.

The most dramatic change was the squad interface from command map to point and click. That is a whole new thing for someone used to GR and HD2, but, it issomething you gotta get used to, especially if you are going to play BIA and CCFTF, cause all the new games are using this now.
I came around after the interviews with Christian Allen at Gamespot and now each bit of news is more and more positive.
I see a lot of people are changing their mind and, like me, really anticipating this game.
It just seems that this whole furor could have been avoided with a little input from Ubi.

farcry is good but sdk is crappy i cant do anything with it

1. Can you comment on the command system for the X Box, the default order and the menu system? Is the menu one level with numeric options like SWAT 3 or is there more than 1 level. How do you string commands? Can you move the squad around stealthily?
2. Does the command map have grids, and what does it do in SP?
3. Can you comment on the weapons available in SP on X Box...XM8, XM8GL, M249, Marksman rifle, what else...
4. Did you have a chance to order the AI to use AT?
5. Is X Box moddable?
6. What do you think of OTS and the hand signals?
7. Are there features like dynamic mission objectives, dynamic sky box, etc...?
8. What did you think of the radar map and can it be toggle off?
9. In MP, with AI backup, do you jump into the next AI if you die?

I got that from ZA's posts from the London show. I agree with you that it should be disabled in day maps, and carry that over to MP as well.

How would PB support work in GR 2 based on other Ubi games? How would it be implemented?
Would you have the choice whether to run it on your server and could implement it at your option?
Obviously, you play by the rules of the servers you join, including their choice to use PB.
I think it would be good for public servers like the Ubi lobby since that is overun with cheaters and hackers. Clan servers and dedis police themselves very effectively now. But, PB would be good for cleaning up Ubi's game servers.

No, night vision is only available in certain missions as required, otherwise it is not available, so you cannot use it in day missions. As it stands now, it is full screen, but, that may change for PC. By then, it may be also available in all missiosn but I hope not.
it would make it more challenging if you had to go into some dark areas and did not have NV to give you an advantage.

1. Is the sniper zoom full screen or focused?
2. Is the NV full screen?
3. Are the tangos static or roaming?
4. Can you as central character have access to any weapon in game?
5. Are there any SMGs as secondaries?
6. What happens if you lose a specialist? Replaced or gone for good?
7. You said there was a command for recce? What does that mean and can you elaborate on the commands?
8. How good was the team AI?

If GR 2 were to incorporate an anti cheat in their game, it would be their own, so I do not think there will be any anti cheat in GR 2, certainly not PB, nor would you want it.
As for weapons, given you can only play as 1 character, you shoulf have access to any weapon in the game, that is my understanding.

This game sounds tasty, GR meets Full Spectrum Warrior.

Given what modders did in GR with Igor and plug ins, there appears to be far more modding potential in GR 2, with an enhanced Igor and the ability to insert scripted events like airstrikes, destructible buildings, different kinds of team AI like SAS, enemy helicopters, larger maps, different vehicles, imported GR maps,etc.

What you need is a "hold fire" command. And that is in GR 2.
