[Making A Specialist For Campaign]

hi guys, im getting quite good at making my own skins and mixing them with the models that are avliable with the GR,DS,IT games and i have made myself a speacialist using some of the tutrorials on this site, to give the game a more custom and rpg element on top of how awesome the game allreaddy is, i would like to have the idea that one guy has been through all the GR Campaigns available including mods. although now im a bit stuck because i understand that i have to replace one of the specialists that allready remain and thats okay, i chose Jack stone becuase of his stats, i notice that in quick mission my charator(with the mod active) has all the stats and names i gave him in IGOR, but in Campaign mode he takes on jack stones name and stats? can i get around this, if so, will it work for GR,DS,IT + The MOds that are avialable(i understand this may not be possible in all of them) i dont mind putting some tedious work into it if i can be guided i would be very happy. to note, i do know about renaming the Atr files and editing the unlockedheros.xml

thanks tinker for the fast reply, i should have read up a bit more to find out the correct version of 3dsm, is there a 3d progrm that you would recommend that i can use to view the charater models, or a viewer made by a moder, so that i dont have to load up GR to see the model allthough wolfsongs one is helpfull it would make things easier if i diddnt have to load up GR. [Chr Files: 'file open failed' error]

hi im new to the gr modding community and although ive played GRAW1n2 and iam a fan of R6 and Tom calncy i found i like GR,DS,IT more, ive seen some really unbelivable mods here there so awesome so im sure you guys can help, my friend installed 3DSM9 on my pc and ive been following a few tutorials here with photoshop as well, alot of the links are expired and i cant find piggysons website or forums? when i try to open a chr file in 3dsm i get an 'file open failed' error i think it is because i dont have those v3.x, v4.x plugins i read about in one of the tutorials, it seems that almost all the links are dead ends ? i just want to be able to veiw the models, is there a model viewer that i can use (i have seen wolfgangs one but i mean one outside of GR) thanks in advance,
