  1. good luck mate, let us know how it goes
  2. In no specific order: Keep the lack of notification of enemy death, much more immersive this way. Enemy “hit†animations, when coupled with the above very suspenseful. (extended it to player character and major result) AI reaction to suppressive fire, gives the MG a real tactical role within a squad. Multiple kit slots plus full customization of weapons First person weapon view with zoom an all or nothing affair and no crawling whilst zoomed. That’s sort of 5 if you don’t count too hard NYR and you know I have trouble with numbers mate
  3. Thanks for the straight answer mate, can you confirm this means that it will not be posible to have observers to judge in competitions?
  4. Wrong, if you are a coop only player maybe yes(depending if GRIN decide to add the old GR coop mode), If you play T vs T , firefight, seige, HH and domination the game is worth every cent. Because must people are not happy with the Coop outcome, doesn't mean the game is bad. Coop old style is just a part of the game. BTW the single player version ia very good too take his advice, he is right, still love and play SP In response to all of these posts, thanks to some, as for the rest, go re read the first post and if you dont play coop please go play the game that you like if the thread is still open tomorrow I will post a full response
  5. Personally this whole episode has hurt me on a personal level, that I can learn to live with. How ever there are friends of mine who I did not support when it all went tit%s up and for that I will for ever be sorry. Dai
  6. For those that don’t know who I am, I, along with Colin, represented GRNET at the UK press release of GRAW I would like to take this opportunity to say a big sorry to the COOP community. I feel that I have been inadvertently used as a bringer of false promises regarding on line coop play and future tournies. Who used me? The painful answer is BO. I do not intend to speculate as to BO’s intentions or motivation but the bottom line here is that information given to me led me to believe that we, as COOP gamers would get what we need to move on to a next generation of GR COOP. It is my personal opinion that GRAW will never provide the COOP community with an off the shelf package that will ever see another COOP tournament that we all know and love. Modders will no doubt try to find a way and good luck to them. This could so have been the future but unfortunately GRAW was never written to be played in the COOP mode as we understand it. For those DIEHARD coop fans awaiting the upcoming [GR] mode let me take responsibility for my previous posts and warn you all that its fools gold at the end of a petrol stained puddle, not a rainbow! PS Dai, you where right, I was wrong. I so wish it was the other way round as we would both be happy

  8. Im just saying that in the end, it wont play excactly like gr1(unless someone mods it ofcourse) it will be diffrent. better to some.worse to some(mainly the old hardcore gr1 players I think), its called change and sometimes we just have to accept it. the Casual gamer that actually IS the largest buyers group, doesnt care one iota if it plays like gr1 or not. they play the sp game and put it on the shelf with the rest of their games. Thats how most people play games. Whatever changes we do to the game to please you guys to make it closer to the gr1 experience we do pretty much do against the will of Ubi or atleast have to take a huge battle with them to get through and into the game.(I cant name any specific features..as I dont know how much im allowed to say, legally) but I think you would be VERY suprised how the game would have been if Ubi had gotten their will through on all points...we (bo especially ofcourse) has fought many tough battles to take it away from a clean console port and closer to what you consider "gr". Obviously it hasnt been taken all the way but you would whine and moan ALOT more if Grin hadnt been so persistent on certain points... and we do it for YOU. the people here in this relativley small(on comparison to the amount of people buying the game in total) community. and some of us do appreciate that
  9. As in the real world 203 rounds have an arming distance to stop you killing yourself when firing thru trees etc, has saved my asre in game so i like it
  10. thoughts? yep, an interesting quirk, followed by a good explanation as to why it happens. does it need fixing? IMHO No! i take it that there is nothing good on TV today?
  11. Blaster has a good point. An extra 2 sniper rifles would make a lot of sense in the coop world. In the fullness of time when the coop aspect of the game is sorted we hope to see coop tournies start to appear. When I spoke to Bo about the number of weapons he seemed quite keen that the modding community would add to the game in a big way. This is a good thing, however there is a down side. Coop tournies are often as not (and IMHO, best) run with the game as it ships without mods. Considering this, it would be good to see a scope option for the SCAR that would equate to an updated SR25. The realistic application of a fixed magnification that GRAW uses would balance things quite well. I also feel that there is a place for a bolt action sniper rifle of the L96A1 type, with a higher ammo count than the M99, as an aside, personally I feel that the manual reload of sniper rifles is a good thing! Personally I have never been a massive fan of the “more is better†philosophy when it comes to weapons in game. I want to have the right tools for the job and train with them. Thoughts?
  12. Having just come out of an SP mission I would say i have to agree, if you cant shoot i would prefer not to see a ret.
  13. hey, no one told me the circus had left without one of its clowns oh, and if you would like to share any more of your expert comments about team command, please feel free to send them my way
  14. these are issues that need to be considered in there own right. add the long winded saga of play - crash - reboot - cant see server - cant join server - get in - get started - Mitchel dead - game over. in all spent more time trying to get in a game than playing yesterday. absolutly love the game, fix a couple of small issues and recognise the COOP fan base and I will be more than happy, stay as it is and
  15. I could see how that would work, if the fire was vaguely accurate. In HF's words "At a sprint your targets are limited to the ground and nearby passing birds. " I'm not sure where the value in that is. However, he does go on to say "At a jog or quick pace fire is inaccurate but is designed for covering purposes to break contact or make the enemy duck." So, I guess the real issue becomes not the inability to shoot while running ... but more the lack of different run speeds. ← well, thats a case of hitting the nail firmly on the head
  16. I'm shure thats a no no. Satisfying as it might be I'm sure theres no use of knives. Other than that I'm sure there will be plenty of sneaky sneaky. Remember the S's Shadow, Silhouette, Sound, Shine hmmm I thought there were 5 ← shape, shine, shadow, silhouette, sound and movement, the keys to being or not being seen
  17. thank you for your well informed and educative post anymore insider tips about the engine?
  18. ZeroAlpha IS the source, and he's our's... Not your's... Our's... And the next time he let's any of our tactics out guess who's gonna be pointman ← oops got caught
  19. ok, glad i saw what i thought i saw, it was a glock 18c. (thanks GRIN Bogvaldt)
  20. yes there will be an igor type tool (amongst others) and am not too sure what you mean by no CQB? its a tight city, should be close enough, I got killed up close and personal!
  21. tactics, who would be thinking about tactics at this stage? oops hide that quick!
  22. hmm, that reminds me, am sure i saw Bo transition to a glock 18c, was only a quick glance and i forgot about it in the big scheme of things will have to check on that!
