How about some realistic taskings for the ghosts? I would love to see missions that a 6 man SF team might realisticly undertake, consider the title, Ghost Recon! get in unseen - do the job - vanish none of this "have to kill 60 enemy, quick save/threat indicator dependant stuff!
Playing with the threat indicator disabled moves the game to a higher level,
if you can avoid repeated quick saves/reload the missions become so much more absorbing
I appreciate that people have different expectations of the game and that is the advantage of mods, the game can become all things to all people! we can all choose to use the type of mod that we want to play
what i would love to see is someone with modding skills like Jack 57 produce a campaign that is based on the type of taskings that a 6 man or smaller team would be tasked with.
Considering the title is Ghost Recon, how much recon do we see?
a well constructed campaign would allow you to carry out a recce of a target as one mission with the next mission allowing you to put your intel to good use.
If you want to see what i mean try the second mission in IT with a 2 man recce team with no threat indicator. DONT shoot any one, just print a copy of the command map and try to plot the enemy positions, identify their weapons and patrol routes!
I enjoy firefights as much as anyone else and there are plenty of those available, Ghost Recon is often talked about as being one of the most realistic first person shooters and the thinking gamers game it would be good to see these areas being pushed even further!
the type of mission that i would like to see would involve deliberate ambushes of vital equipment /people
covert dems jobs
realistic sniper tasking
more use of NPC's when large targets need to be attacked
laser marking of targets
what do the rest of you think?
