  1. When the local TV station I typically watch started showing Entertainment Tonight and TMZ, I told them that I would not be watching this and said programs are designed for small minded people or something to that effect and that they are helping to invade the privacy of others. I watch the History Channel and Modern Marvels at that time now.

  2. I was playing around with my Calenders that Vista has and found a neat feature. While it is known you can import and export calenders, what I haven't seen anyone talk about is how the calenders are displayed. Well, I found out today.

All checked calenders are displayed so you can see all calenders no matter which calender you are actually looking at. In my case, I have 2 right now, a personal calender and a work calender (which I use to track my work and experience hours in) and I think it pretty cool that I do not have to open a seperate calender to look at both.

This is a very handy feature and hope it carries over to Windows 7 if it includes a calender.

  3. Not here too!!! while a big star, I can't say that I will miss him. Once he struck out on his own, he changed in ways one never could have imagined when he first started out with his brothers with the Jackson 5. I honestly think he was not right in the head.

  4. Install any anti-virus software you intend to use first and update that along with any software firewall you intend to use.

Once that is done, update the OS with any service packs that may be available for it (you just installed Vista so there are 2 service packs avaialable for it).

After you have done the above, install any peripherals you have and then start installing any games you have along with any other software you use. Don't forget to defragment between installations.

  5. I was just reading the Ubi FC2 PC forums and there are 2 guys that state that FC2 is open-ended. That is surprising as GR was once that way and Ubi turned it into (along with R6) a rail shooter more or less.

They also stated that it makes the player think. Well, GR had this in spades. Sometimes, I just can't figure Ubi out. They completely trash a franchise then go and use those same features that they removed from games that already had them in a totally different franchise. Make up your mind Ubi. What kind of games are you really wanting to develop and sell?

  6. OK, I completed the demo tonight. I have to say FEAR2 is a typical rail shooter. Graphics look good and there are some surprising moments like when Alma grabs ya when ya climb out of the theater and you are just imagining it.

Still, here are some pics from the game (oh yeah, I get a solid 60FPS in this with everything on high, I was errorneous previously):

I wish to thank those that helped me get passed the bus.
