  1. On the plus side, he is getting excellent one-to-one, nurse/patient care.

Oh that did make me smile, gave me images of him getting a little slap and tickle from a skimpy dressed hot nurse

now I've said that I'd laugh even more if it turned out his nurse was a man

I didn't know you were so cheeky!!!! :P

  2. OK so today I get a new hard drive and install it and run into a problem. The drive was seen in the BIOS but not by Windows. Turns out, this is a problem with Windows (both XP and Vista) and SATA drives.

The first thing one has to do is ensure that it is seen in the BIOS. Then get your motherboard CD out and install the SATA driver that is on the CD. Reboot and then Windows will see your new drive and install the drivers for it. Then all you have to do is go into Disk Management and initalize and format it.

Now if you want to assign a particular drive letter to it, do so after formatting. One thing to remember is that if you try to change a drive letter on a drive already installed and with programs on it, they may not run, but at least Vista will allow you to do so once you reboot, there is a warning about it. If you decide against it, Windows will let you cancel the rename and go about it's business.

(I had a heck of a time finding this as a bunch of threads had been unpinned, my search had errors due to different wording apparently.)

  3. Rocky, I would aim at the GTX 285 and not anything less. I guess I am biased in a way, but when I first configured this system, I could have chosen something a bit lesser, but wanting a card almost close to the top, I went with this as I didn't want to have to install a new card any time soon.

  4. and then never happen again.

Yes it will as it has happened before. 1000 years ago and in 1000 more years and every 1000 years after that. We just will not be around to see it happen.

  5. I have more than enough storage space, the new HD is for FSX really, it now is 40GB in size while FS 2004 is 50GB. Both are growing and I want them on a fast drive so loading time isn't so long (with more aircraft and scenery, load times increase).

  6. So with all my MSFS add-ons and such for both FS 2004 and FSX growing at a tremendous rate, I figured it was time to get another HD so on Friday I ordered a new WD 300GB VelociRaptor. Today I got the tracking number and again, Newegg shows why I love shopping with them. The new HD will be here on Wednesday.

  7. Yeah, I have heard of it. There has been talk about it at the Ubi iL2 forums. I tried to find out what it means to where the box states, Internet Connection Required. I am not sure that it is DRM free or not and needs to phone home for activation purposes.

It could be that it is just for MP games, but these days, I am not so sure. The owner/founder/something to that effect of a publishing company has been on the forums to talk about it too.

Looks great and is sorely wanted by the community, but for me, I want to know if it has activation limits or whatnot before I buy it.
