  1. I remember many people complaining of GR's map size as being too big when it first came out, now some of those very people are saying that the maps are too small. Make up, y'all's minds.

Regarding map size, more than 500x500 meters is too big really. Even at 400x400 (think an area the size of the Pentagon in DC) you have an area, while seemingly small is bigger than one realizes. With the way John and company designed the maps, they appeared even bigger than they really were. That alone helped gameplay for both MP and SP. A person can walk across a 500 meter distance in about 7 minutes or so. Do any of you really want to spend 10 minutes to walk more than a half mile in a game to get somewhere?

  2. Steel deforms with heat...who knew that NatGeo was in on it too. ;)

    ____

No, it will not change a thing (w/them), they'll just move on and obsess on the next discrepancy that has not been explained away within the last 5 minutes.

    Conspiracy is the new religion.

    What he said.

  3. Visa International fees can sat up cash if ya ain't careful. Change some currency here in the States before heading overseas. Then find out where you can get the best rate for exhanges (your hotel may give you cash with your Visa card for free).

  4. As I look at the online list at this time, I see Dannik's name on the list. This is very promising (though it may be his GF). It is good news that he his one step closer to going home after a long and I am sure, tiring and debilitating illness. Great news all around. Get well soon my friend.

  5. A lot of people look back and think the US and Britain should not have bombed residental areas in cities, but when one really looks at where business that built stuff were located, it really makes sense. If you put a ball bearing factory next to a school, the school just might get hit. Same if the millwright creates parts for an aircraft in his backyard shed, perfectly legitimate target.

  6. Many of you are relating something I have known for quite some time (since the game first came out mind you). I am still amazed at how well the AI act and this dates back even further to Rogue Spear (after all, GR used a tweaked version the RS engine which was a tweaked version of the original R6 engine that RSE built themselves). Enemy AI do figure out your location and hunt you down. We all have been amazed at how we got 6ed and wondered who got us.

Sure, there were some dumb things they did, but all AI no matter what game apparently share similar traits and do something stupid every once in a while. I would like to see more AI like what GR has offered for the last 7.75 years, but I doubt that we will ever see something like them again.

  7. DS, much of what you just stated is the reason why I do not give any creedence to anything CTs say. All of it can be disproven and none of it makes sense as you noted.

I even agree with Rocky that the internet is a ripe platform for them to spread their "word" and really put out disinformation. They cannot prove anything and when asked for such, the one response is "do the research." Why whould I research this when they are the ones making such large claims and not giving the documentation/research themselves? Sorry, but their opinions are just that, not fact.
