FINAL POST HUUUUUURRRRRAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!! all i had to do about that stupid black patch was to change my mouse pointer to the standard white pointer, i was using some different one...the simplest solutions... geeezzzzzz

F.Y.I. i already went through the troubleshooter in DxDiag that addresses this problem, i tried everything that it said to do and it still does it..... Dude, im smashing my Dell!!!

THE GAME RUNS!!!!!!!!!! I reinstalled it once again, updated it to version 1.4 but this time i Moderator edit for content the exe so i dont need the cd and it ran!! yeah... BUT...now i have a new problem, there is a little patch of color that follows the cursor around. the patch is usually a little piece of the previous screen or just a plain black square it is about 1 inch by 1 inch. its annoying Moderator edit for content. Discussions of those sorts are expressly prohibited here by forum rules. Please don't let it happen again.

Pre built Dell.. added second Hard drive and new video card and Ram. ALL games are on same drive (D drive) all system info (windows, drivers, etc)is on C Drive. Here is my DxDiag file.. my other card was 32mb geforce 3 400 mx. the games didnt work on the other one either.. i m pretty sure the other drivers are all gone... other games that DO work on my computer are. .. Mafia, half life, soldier of fortune 2, Rogue spear (covert ops, urban ops, and black thorn too)

windows ME.. install correctly (many times)..direct X 8.1.. assuming Cd-rom is clean cuz other stuff works......... cd is clean as well ...having same problem with: Grand theft auto 3, Medal of honor AA and Spearhead

i just installed ghost recon on my computer and when i try to launch it the "ghost recon" title screen pops up for about 2 seconds then it immediately crashes to desktop like i never even tried to launch it. this is really irritating... i just wanna play my game!! P4 1.3 GHz/ 384mb RD Ram/ 128mb Ati radeon 9000 graphics card (i just put it in and all the drivers are up to date)/ 15 & 60 Gig hard drives
