  1. are you sure the "read only" box of the .chr file is unchecked ?

    nic

Damn I'm an idiot. I can't believe I never thought of that (This was before I knew about turning off read only, but still...)

    lol, I know it's RSB's to CHR's. I got mixed up.

Edit: Yup. It worked. Thank you again Niccola

  2. will you release the mod ?

Of course I will. Kinda pointless in keeping it all to myself, I know what to do and what's going to happen :shifty:

Do you, by any chance, know why I get 'Path/File Access Error' whenever I use Mike Schell's skinner?

  3. It's also worth noting that GR_Main_Theme.wav is not the only music file that plays at the main menu - it's one of two (or three?) music files that will be randomly played at the GR main menu.

Yeah, I've figured everything out. Thanks though :)

  4. you will need a wave editor to add your new theme to the game. Copy the original GR_Main_Theme from GR .../sound/music folder, be sure to uncheck the "read only" box, then open one it in the wave editor, go "select all", then "cut", then open your new theme wave file, go "select all", then "copy", then close it, and paste it in the original file, then go "save", add to your mod.

Dang Niccola, it worked! Thank you very much for your insightful answer

  5. Okay, so I made a skin, saved it as an RSB in a custom mod folder, and everything was going fine. I open up Mike Schell's skinner to finish up, but when I try and save the CHR's, after I push yes for 'Overwrite files?' another box comes up that says ' 75

    Path/File Access Error

Anybody know how I can fix this?

    Thanks

  6. Another problem

Okay, so I have a truck, and I have some allies in it, and I've told it to go somewhere and drop everyone off. The only problem is, it's going to come under attack, and if someone shoots at it, all the people inside it quickly get out and start shooting back. I don't want them to do this. I've tried turning off the platoon AI but then they're too stupid to even drive the truck. They just park and sit in the truck, waiting to get killed. Anyone got any idea's?

  7. yea, welcome to the forums and GR modding....just do what Hammer suggested..the final size is around 185X139(140) something like that...just take a bucket full of pics and sift through em for what you like best...open up one of the map shot files from [GR],DS,or IT and paste your shots over theirs then rename the file and place it in Briefings folder of your mod then navigate to it in IGOR and select it...I can't tell ya how to do that command map shot they have as the last slot, but I bet one of the other modders will know how..

    mig

Yeah, but the problem is opening up the RSB files. Everything I use to try and open it ends up encountering an error and closes.

  8. Hello m8, welcome to the forums,

Can you not take screen shots of your map, re-size them and over right the ones in the file ? ( after you have made a copy from the original of course)

Any hint as to what type of map ? the communitey always likes screen shots :yes:

Thanks. However, I tried to convert the cycle I wanted with Mike Schell's RSB Converter, but it didn't do anything. If you know of some other way I could unpack it, I would love to know.

Meh, It's not a new map, it's a RedStorm made one. I was just trying out all the stuff in Igor and I made a pretty decent mission. I'm planning on making a new mod  I might post about it a little further down the road :shifty:

  9. Hey guys. So far I've done pretty good at figuring everything out by myself. I've made a full fuctional map that I'm really proud of. One thing has eluded me though, getting the map cycle shots. If I look at an [Ghost Recon] map, all of the pictures are packed into one file. Anyone know how to do this? If someone has a tutorial, or they just wanna tell how to do it right here, It would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
