  1. :D That's what I always do Zantar, I thought that was my tactic  . I'll take my chances against the spam blaster any day, I always work on my reflexes more than anything else anyway. just call me quick draw. But, back on topic those sound like great suggestions. If you've played SOF2 you know thier OICW/GL has a range reature, although they aren't air-bursting, so I know they can put it in GR2. I would like to see the glow factor reduced for night vision, and the flares sound like a good way to make that more practical. I'm more concerned with gameplay than pure realism on that point. Did anyone see the Mail Call on the History channel about the XM29? If not I've got it recorded, maybe I'll post it for D/L. X
  2. OK, first I'll admit that I'm not military personnel, so I don't know everything. But, if I'm not mistaken isn't the OICW/GL supposed to fire 20mm Air-bursting rounds? If RSE would implement the range feature of the binocs to the GL part of the OICW/GL, then require the user to designate the distance before the round bursts, (plus or minus the range on sight) I think the OICW/GL would be a much better weapon. As it stands, (i know it's a 20mm round) it seems as though the OICW/GL launches the same 40mm round as the M203. I just think that this improvement would be a big plus as the OICW/GL in my opinion ruins the game, with its please spam with me capability. Besides, it wouldn't be the OICW/GL, it would be the XM29. :P

EDIT:After reading that, I have to say that it's not the OICW/GL's fault, you can't blame an inanimate object for the actions of humans. Guns don't kill people, I do. OICW/GL's don't spam, Spammers do.

  3. I am having some trouble getting the fog to be on after I save. At one point in the mision the weather changes, however if you save during that portion of play, the fog will not be on when you reload the save game. As well it doesn't show in the replay. I have tried setting the heavy fog in the startup block, then toggling it off, then back on, but it still didn't work. Thanx in advance. X

  4. I just wondered how many of you have your own character/actor in Ghost Recon. The first mod I made was a character mod for me and my friends so that when we play we are looking at our own grilles. It makes it alot more fun when the face you are shooting is actually the face of the person you are shooting  . That's me in my sig. Looks just like me. Anyway, who else?

  5. I've had trouble hooking up my win98 to my buddies XP machines. I had to manually configure both machines and then they worked fine. My suggestion, find a small router, 2 or 4 ports, you can get em for about $30, and if you plan to play often, (you will), it will be well worth it. JMO :D

  6. :D OK, I voted for the ship, but that's only cause you made me decide. I love them all, and it was a really hard choice, between the ship and the keep, the chandaliers alone should make some certain dev team have bad dreams  Look for trees with legs. Thanx again, FB team.
  7. :o Bieng from Louisiana, I could do with a hurricaine i.v. But, since I'm marooned in the desert, I stick with 7&7, like kool aid. No beer for me thanks, I'll stick with what tastes good. Hep, I won't pass on that black toothed grin though. ;) LITs will do. If I can put my lips on it, some cognac, corvasier, da bomb, a little dab'l do ya. *sigh* I gotta go. *dreams of a yard of hurricaine attached to face*
  8. I don't know about that, I'm pretty sure they are there. If you go into your ghost recon root folder, you should see three folders(maybe more) Data, Mods, UBI. go into the data folder, then into the save folder, then into the script folder, then you should see the two files. I don't know about the HX map, Sry. I would suggest reinstalling the mod. ;)

EDIt: thats my fault, I typoed in my first post, duh. :stupid:

  9. I had a similar problem when trying to host. Even though I agree with WK77, you may have some bad sectors on your HD. The fix for my problem was easily fixed by opening the file (this is no joke) GR\data\save\script\current.but and default.ass files. as funny as the names are these files record the last setup of your server, and if you had something loaded the last time you hosted that is no longer there, it will CTD. Open those files in notepad and check to see if they are set to a map or mod that you no longer have. That's the only thing I've ever come across that causes a CTD when trying to host. Good Luck. X

P.S. I just lost my 20gig ultr-wide SCSI drive so I feel your pain.

  10. Thnx Zantar,

I was just playing there with you last night. I appologise for assuming it was a clan server. I was actually in the server, I had just joined, then [wolf]diemaco or sumthing, entered the server setup, and boot. Then when I tried to rejoin, I got the banned message. I will try to email and find out what's up with this. Like I said I was accused of cheating by one of the [Wolf] guys(I don't know if they are affiliated or not, but they had admin PW), that is my only real concern. Thnx again Zantar, X

    EDIT:I'm on adsl
