what OS are you running? If you are running 9x you can go to Start/Run and then type in "winipcfg" without the quotes, it will tell you what your IP is. Also you can create a multi player game, when it first starts, it will show you your IP. If you are behind a router ar firewall, it may be more difficult.

I suggest Mike Schell's IGOR tutorial, and then the Advanced IGOR scripting guide. Scripting in IGOR is pretty easy, it is based on basic if=(triggers) and then=(responces), so to do a mission well, all you need to do is learn the triggers and responces. These are explained really well in these two tuts. GL.

i actually got the damaged blackhawk to work. i think i just made it a humvee class vehicle, then set it to the damaged .qob file. It's been a while ago so I will check and then edit.

Col, I'm pretty sure the problem you are running into is caused by the fact that a vehicle is a map object. In other words the vehicle has to be placed on a specific map, it cannot be part of a GTF, which should work for any map. That's what the means. Perhaps there is a way to make a vehicle file usable, like the opposing force.atr files, so that you could spawn it during startup, unfortunately that is beyond my simple scope of knowledge. When they updated to v1.4, they also updated IGOR. If you open IGOR, then got to tools, you will see the "server script editor", this is provided for you to edit the default.ass file. You can set it up very specifically, if you need some direction, just load up the current default.ass file to see how it looks. GL X

I think the reason people put the static page up, is so that you can download it really quickly, and descide if that is actually where you want to be before downloading the actual front page contents. yes, you should place your hard drive on or near a large magnet, if that doesn't fix the problem, scoot your feet on a carpeted floor, and then reach into your computer's case, touching only the proccesor. Check to see if EAX is off in the Options/sound tab. I've experienced some wierd echos and reverb type effects when it was on. Also you should check any software that came with your soundcard to make sure there is no internal effect on your main sound outputs or wave output. GL

Great advice Zantar, I use the banking technique alot. I love grenades and use them alot, get alot of kills that way. If you can, have some of your friends play frags only mp games with you. That way, you try to fine tune your skills and actually get a kill when you are right on. I use them all the time, and there's no better way to clear a building. I will drop one right by a door and use it as a breaching charge. Other than practice, I don't have any other answers either, sorry.

NO. It is not possible to change the sound with the value in the xml files. Those files and values only represent the length of the sound and it's hearable distances, both min. and max, and if it is an ambient sound. In order to actually change the sound, you need a new sound file, .wav format, best at 22.5kHz sample rate, and 16 bits. You then need to rename the new file the same name as the old one. Then you will need to reconcile the xml file as I have described here about halfway down the page. GL
