  1. I usually chose the team being spawn raped as it's fun, fighting your way out. Ask clone when i do a kill count ;)1 down, 2 down 3 down (lol i type it in the chat as i kill them. Most teams are so used to the ease of spawn rape, when a good player comes out they don't see it coming.

[Hot] Keyster... 2 second would not work. Remember not everyone has high end pc's and for some it takes 3 seconds before they can even move. (as for me none is fine)

If it's 7 seconds lol i watch the guy and count the time before i shoot. It teaches you patience.

Being killed for shooting into the spawn is not the answer though. No points i don't care about except when matching, as a stragey could be to just have a guy camp in the spawn the whole match with a sniper shooting a head of you.

Cell .. BSR is 5 min.

ok, the thing about the not fast pcs is legit i suppose but none the less, enabling yet MORE spawn protection is stupid. Also i obviously know to count the seconds, its still stupid / unrealistic.

  2. Ok, the problem with this feature as i understand it is this. Were this to be turned on. I would never leave my spawn area. Why do it? I would just sit in my spawn and win every round 100-0 as the other team tried to rack up kills on me that don't count meanwhile i'm picking them off and scoring as usual. The invulnerability is 10x more spawn protection than most games get. Don't get greedy.

  3. Can we please stop drawing attention to a problem which is really nothign more than people not being able to scan your area within 6 seconds after spawn. I mean 6 seconds is a ridiculous amount of time. If i had my way it would be like 2 seconds. There are real problems in this game with weapon balance that need to be addressed aka gl range and m99 and we're worrying about spawn camping. Heres the solution.... push out of your spawn. Its not that hard.

  4. It's me, or M8 rifle is less powerful compared to GRAW1?

Usually played with M8 in GRAW1 and had a good feeling with it, enough power and precision for my tastes.

Now the precision is still good, but a bit of the power seems to have gone...

    Or soldiers are more resistant...

I'm insisting on using the scoped M8 for a reason: I'm a nade lover (no to spawn kills btw :-)) and in HH n° 9 assault is the only one kit with nade (1! :/).

It's not that the M8 has been "toned down". Rather every weapon in general has been normalized. There are slight damage variances here and there, but every single non-sniper rifle requires 1 shot to the head and 3 shots to the chest.

I still think the m8 is the best weapon in the game so :-P

  5. In your average server i'm taking the guy that is 25/5. Shot and aim cannot be taught, position and strategy can. That guy is showing me that he has a good enough shot to be super agressive and still win. When it comes to scrims and match time he is the guy that is going to be able to tone down the aggression and absolutely dominate.

  6. I'll also dispute the fact that no anti-cheat means no competition. BF2 has some of the ######tiest anti-cheat of any game i know. I know this because it is in fact punkbuster. People used to hack all the time. Hell we even caught someone hacking on one of my old teams once. The fact of the matter is that people regardless of anti-cheat are always going to find a way through but through some security features like requiring players to take screenies at the start of the map or having the server do it as well as policing by the general community 9.9/10 hackers can be successfully weeded out. Will some slip through the cracks? Sure, but the game can still be really competitive so long as we're not stupid enough to rely solely on an anti-cheat program to do all the work for us.

  7. Just wanted to say that UcG and Clone (Who appear to be merging) got the TWL power ladder kicked off with Team HOT last night along with a few scrims. It was great fun and an 8v8 on arroyo ( Too many people for that map but whatever) proved pretty awesome. There were a few clutch saves for both sides and this games competitive potential was confirmed at least in my eyes. Hopefully CAL picks it up!
