  3. Now that sounds like the begining of a joke..LMAO So they can tell their left side form the right one! But the real reason..er...well we are a small country and can't afford a strap that goes all around a helmet... However, there's something we can afford; sunglasses! As you can see on the last photo I posted, some soldiers wear (issued) shades. So thanks to Sgt. Croc who kindly donated his Oaklyes model, I made a new head attachment, that will be randomly destributed amongst the regulars. Ladies, I gave you the new head attachment;

  5. Does anybody know are DS attachments in 3DSM format available for d/l anywhere? I tried to find them, but came across GRand DS characters and IT attachments/characters only...I seem to remember that Piggyson mentioned them in his attachemnt exporting tute...I think there was a link too..

  9. LMAO..allow me to let you in on a little secret, Snow...it is the same gun! HS2000 is Croatian pistol that is sold in US under the name Springfield XD. The factory here in Croatia produces "blank" versions, and then, depending on the market it's intended for, the markings are engraved acordingly. You can find more about the gun here

  12. @Snow, I found that same dropship model, however, I couldn't figure out how to crunch it down to something GR compatible...if you manage to import the bird into GR, (and I have no doubt that you will) just make sure you get the author's permission.. As for maps, there are several ways we can handle it...we can convert some day maps into night to enlarge our selection...SOAF maps might be nice too. With AvP movie out, I guess it's not too far fetched now to stage the mod on Earth. Maybe in the near future, definately near the original "Alien(s)" time frame..so we can justify the weps and the
  13. Great news!! As I said, most of the weapons are already done, only smart gun remains to be finished. Incinerator and VP-70 pistol probably deserve a better texture, I don't mind re-doing them. (gun files, however, are quite OK, IMHO) M577 APC is done and working, interior, turret and everything... Character wise, the mod needs a nice alien model, and a few variations of colonial marines. Map wise, we'd have to decide are we going to stage the mod on existing maps or try to find a mapper to make us some new ones.   14. That's dead on, Snow...in fact, the movie prop team made only one "pulse rifle" that was fully operational, meaning that both SPAS part and Tommy gun part were operational. All other rifles had a non-working prop mounted under the barrel. The M41 clip had to be shortened somewhat, so the mag capacity was something like 20-25rd. Still, somehow they made it completely beleveable in the movie! LOL Interesting story goes on, as that only fully operational pulse rifle was painted black and used once more in the ending scenes of Alien3 (remember the Weiland-Yutani merc knee-capping the convict

After some time, I finally have some news about the mod; first of all, I went trough entire thread and re-posted all the renders, now uploaded to a different host site, so there should be no more bandwith exceeding problems. Secondly, thanks to Giwex, we are now nagotiating with not one, but two mappers. I don't want to make big statements or mention any names yet, but if all goes well, this mod should feature at least two brand new maps. Keep your eyes on this thread for further news....

Hm..if we are going in alphabetic order, then why not mention ADF mod by AUS_Viper (skin and equipment), Desert expansion for the same mod, and off course Operation Stabilise, a full conversion mod (missing only new maps),by Aus_Viper, Streinger and Giwex, featuring Australian SASR, but also Brazilian operative, British Ghurka and so on.. Canadian Operatives mod (oldie but goodie) by BjB (skin and equipment) and CO2 by the same author, full conversion..Canadian operatives also available in Sabre Teams mod, again by BjB.   23. You probabaly read it in Op. Stabilise mod thread...I made Remington 870 shotgun with a holster point rotated so when standing, the weapon appears to be slung on operative's back. It's also positioned that way when operative is in prone position, but unfortunately. due to hard-coded weapon types, in crouch position, the weapon moves away from the operatives body. There's nothing we can do about it, I'm afraid.
